Set in the medieval castle known as the Chateau d'Ouchy this lakeside restaurant and hotel has a beautiful view and a wonderful decor. Dating back to the early 1900s you can sense its long luxurious history. It offers 39 rooms and four-star service! At the restaurant the meals are classical and freshly-prepared but lack imagination. Stick to the meat dishes for the main course or explore other options around town. Prices are not too steep and the service for both the hotel and restaurant is friendly and efficient.
The beautiful room
The restaurant was disappointing and the service in the bar very poor
The room was excellent, as well as hotel facilities. The food was good (we had breakfast).Everything is still new and clean since the hotel has been recently opened.
The hotel spa (consists of dry and wet sauna only) is supposed to stay open between 07:00 am and 20:00 pm, but in fact the hotel staff was trying to prevent us from using it, and gave us a free entrance ticket to another hotel spa (which was 10 minutes drive!).We had an argument with the hotel staff and they finally let us in late in the evening.
the location is really nice but definitely too expensive and the food at the hotel was poor
the staff, even though nice, is not up to a 4 stars hotel. At the cost of the room, I would expect at least breakfast to be included.
The proximity to the lake, the food in the restaurant, the use of the Spa at the Palace
The way the hotel was up dated and the nice view from the balcony.
