Pros:
The gentleman who helped check me in was professional and wanted to help me but still strong armed me into renting the car for 5 days even though I only needed it for 3 and there’s a drop box for this purpose. Furthermore, the car renter to me was old, dusty, and in need of service. Not at all what I was hoping for when renting a car on vacation for $300. Clinton at the Studio City location was very helpful and made the situation better and followed up with me fairly.Cons:
A reservation line that answers phones after hours, clearer policies when booking as well as hours of operation at various locations, better vehicles available, better customer service...10.0 Wonderful

Pros:
After booking and paying "in full" on the k a y a k website, I was told at the hertz location that because they were closed on Sundays and that was my return day, that I would have to pay for an additional day until they checked in the car on Monday.Cons:
The rental agent was less than helpful, and when I requested a customer service #to file a formal complaint, he refused to provide it and told me to call the 3rd party site I booked with. K a y a k.10.0 Wonderful

Cons:
1. The Manager Jimmy and rest of the Staff gave away my Prepaid Rental car. Sold it to someone else. This is theft. Apparently, both Hertz Corporate, all of its offices and specifically this particular Redondo Beach Location does this on permanent, regular basis. This comment is in most of the reviews. Second, this location does not care to clean the cars. Inside, outside dirty. Stains all over seats and floors. Reviews all say this and customers coming in and out of the store say this. Manager is being cheap and not spending the required labor hours and not hiring the necessary amount of employees to clean the cars. Also not doing required floors and seats shampoo between customers. The cleaning employees they do have are lazy and don't clean at all except half-vacuum. Employee Rodney engages in ongoing bate and switch behavior. You make an agreement with him and you arrive and he denies, refuses to honor, or significantly always to your detriment changes the agreement.2.0 Poor

Pros:
Angel was rude, lied and said convertible mustang was cheaper than hard top mustang. Wouldn't give me a discount stating "he was doing me a favor offering me a hard top at the same price as the convertible. Then walked off without a word once he THOUGHT I was recording his rude, uncompromising behavior. The ln the manager Raul, proceeded to convince me the damage on the car would not be affected by driving conditions, said he would take a video/picture of the broken part of the bumper, right before he was about to take the video he got a call. He proceeded to stay in the call approximately 10 minutes , when all parties new I was pressed for time due to a funeral I was due to attend. They printed up my paper work at 10:19am, after haggling with me over not having my convertible at their site. From 10:19 a.m. it took an additional 20 minutes to do the walk around I did not pull out of their drive until 10:40. up on bringing the car back I return the car at 11:00 thinking that I would be given a 30 minute leeway before being charged an hour. When I got into the office on a Sunday there was an personnel that simply wanted me to drop the key and leave, my gut was telling me to ask him to print up a final receipt, as I am walking away I see that the man had charged me an additional $71 plus tax totaling $94. When I return to ask what the charge was for he stated that I went over because my original reservation was for 10:00 a.m. and since it was 11:05 I went over the time. He then stayed at that he could not do any changes unless I showed him a video with a timestamp, his impatient made me nervous uncomfortable and afraid that they would charge me more since they were due to close soon, and we're trying to rush me off. I since found a complaint with Avis who assisted me promptly, thank you phone agent Lorenzo for looking out for me.I knew before taking the car that something did not feel right in my spirit I even said that twice to each personnel. This is the most rudest customer service I have ever experienced in my 42 years of livingBudget

be sure to check weekly rates. It would have been $100 cheaper to rent for the week instead of for 5 days like we did. That's madness, by the way. They didnt have the minivan we booked. The hotline suggested we drive to another location to get one and we did. They didnt have one either and then we were 4 hours behind schedule at the end of all of it. After our trip, the car was dusty from camping inside (no sand or mud, just dust and maybe some grass) and they wanted to charge us $25. I highly recommend renting for one day less than you need and simply dropping it off the next day for a $10 late fee. TEN DOLLARS!! Why does it cost $150/d to rent but only $10 a day if you are "late"???All States Car Rental
