The Tinassara is an exclusive Bed & Breakfast situated in the historic summer residence of the Bishop of Verona, around 1km from the characteristic medieval village of Lazise sul Garda. The building has been completely renovated using original materials and favouring the use of limestone where possible over cement. The Tinassara s rooms are heated with traditional wood burning stoves or open fires and also benefit from free Internet access. The wooden beds have mattresses made from microcells of hypoallergenic material to ensure maximum hygiene. The water in the building comes from a natural source and is filtered through an electromagnetic field which makes it even lighter. The large garden has a swimming pool.
Guiseppe was very friendly and made you feel at home at his B and B. Good location still close to the Lake. Big room and bathroom. Good breakfast with nice cappuccino.
Was supposed to have wifi but it didn't work. Ok as had the hotel computer to use.
Wonderful old building in beautiful quiet location. Room was nice & very clean with good bathroom. Breakfast was good quality and the fried eggs were delicious. Tea/coffee making facilities which was great. 15 minutes walk down the hill ( or 1 km drive ) was Comune di Lazise, a fantastic neighbourhood of narrow streets filled with restaurants and shops on a lakeside setting. Went to Granar restaurant and had lovely pasta for 8 Euro. This hotel is ideal for those wanting some peace and quiet in a nice location.
No wifi anywhere in hotel. I tried my lap top and mp3 player and neither detected any signal. There is a computer with average speed internet connection in the common room. The dining area and common room were too dark in the evenings. The single pillow and single duvet on a double bed looked odd and rather mean. Proper size duvet and spare pillows would help. No tv in room. No sugar provided in dining area so bring your own. Late night arrivals need to use their mobile phones to ring a number to open front door. Too much hassle. My mobile is switched off in Europe due to high roaming costs.
Location is great. Right near Lazise but you need a car! When you enter La Tinassara you go through a wall of Jasmin. You will never forget that great smell! The rooms are not spacious but they fit to a stay at a countryside B&B place like La Tinassara. The room is always cool though there is no air conditioning. The beds are comfortable. Everything is very clean. The towels are soft and smell nice. Breakfast is a great experience with fresh tomatoes, mozarella, jam, fresh baked rolls & bread, Cappucino/Espresso. Not anything like you would get in a normal hotel. Giuseppe makes great eggs, any way you like them. The pool is not big but enough to cool down. Enough sun beds are available and they are very comfortable. A great place!
The hotel is great and there is nothing negative to say. The only problem are couples with children who are allowed to run around and be noisy. In such a location this is very annoying. We also travelled with our little girl but we always told her to respect the privacy of others who might want to sleep longer.
