The price and the location. Also the shuttle service to Deadwood.
Yes, the rooms were very outdated. The furniture was very tore up and had holes in it. The bathroom was not cleaned and had hair everywhere. Also, our alarm went off at 3 a.m.!Overall the photos that they post are very deceptive. The rooms are not bright and clean. They are very dark, dingy and outdated. I showed the front desk staff photos of our bathroom floor and tub and they said I would have to request a refund through Priceline, but then when Priceline contacted them they refused to refund it. I called and was told the manager spoke with the cleaning staff and they assured him the room had been cleaned. Currently still battling with the 'GM' Paul about getting a refund issued as the bathroom was disgusting. I would not recommend staying there. The beds are uncomfortable and you hear every noise all night long.
Continental breakfast offering was minimal, cereal, muffins, toast, coffee, and juice. This was a nice hotel for the price we paid. It was clean, the staff was friendly. It is an older hotel, but as mentioned earlier, was clean. Good, central location, easy to get in and out of town and close proximity to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Deadwood, Sturgis, Spearfish, and Rapid City. We would stay there again!
the restaurant had a very good breakfast, did not make it for any other meals , but it was very good. The room was very comfortable and clean. could tell it was an older motel but was very pleased with this motel. would stay again no problem..
location, location, location
nothing comes to mindpriced right for the experience
Great location , staff very accommodating , bartender needs a little help with a repeated subject 'her bar' that's fine if it is but we were there to have fun . Over all first trip we'll be back
The elevator was iffy some days.Very nice and the scenery was beautiful!!!
The pillows in our room were terrible and the air conditioner didn't seem to cool the room off at all.
We called the Hotel because of a mistake in the dates I made on price line. I talked with Aaron who was able to adjust the date to accommodate us. This was for the week before Sturgis Rally. Aaron was very respectful and took great care of us.This hotel is in downtown Lead SD. You are 3 miles away from Historic Deadwood SD. It's not fancy but a great stay to use as a base for touring around.
clean helpful location
Very questionable request at checkin when prepaid for CC ?'d said for incidentals Ok? on checkout was not my CC on imprint so where was MY CC ?'d DESK NO answer Am investigating my CC so far NO xtra charges, BUT Very shady feeling even if not a problemWe really liked this property and will return. had a problem with CC requests as stated above. No one on site could help resolve this problem I would really like to talk to someone about this as We were onsite for 4 days and saw quite a few problems due to lack of communication. This is a great property but is lacking in Overall Management. please respond to this email Thank you DR. D. TRAYNOR
Good air-conditioning in hot circumstances.
The listed address from PRICELINE was WRONG. We found the hotel, in the dark, by chance, not by GPS or street info. PRICELINE is to blame here, using an address from another planet.Good location, good facilities, but could do with air-venting in the upper floors, because the heat from the lobby rises and then accumulates.
