Kveldsro House Hotel, which is Norse for "Evening Peace", opened as a hotel in April 1969 and underwent a total refurbishment in 1993, transforming it into Shetland's most luxurious hotel. The tasteful and comfortable bar provides morning coffee, snacks, lunches and bar suppers and is a great place to sit and enjoy your favourite drink while you watch the boats go by. A wide range of tempting dishes are prepared by one of the islands' leading chefs to ensure that you enjoy the very best taste, tenderness and quality.
Helpful staff. Good food on occasions. Location.
Service quality variable. High effort, low on training (attention to detail). Kitchen slow to produce food.
Accessibility to town. Quiet and good service
When walking around the room the back lining of the wardrobe/combined writing table made an annoying vibrating noise (room 424)
Smell of smoke on bed linen
Quiet surroundings and professional service
Bed was somewhat hard, but I found this to be fairly universal in the UK!
The hotel staff are friendly and it is in a quiet part of the town, but close enough to walk to the town centre.
Common to all Lerwick Hotels, the price that they charge is very high when you compare what you can get for the same price in other parts of the UK.
