With it's location a few minutes drive from the centre of Llangollen, this is a super hotel to explore the picturesque town and area - all around are canals, rivers, stunning countryside and historic bulildings and castles. The Spa Complex building containing the higher category rooms has been superbly constructed mirroring perfectly the exterior of the original building. This is a lovely family owned property and with guests having unlimited use of the Spa (which includes a large hydro pool, steam room and sauna) this is an added bonus. (GW 07/2008) It is a low rise building with lovely original features set amongst some woodland, with a large car park suitable for both Group and leisure travellers. The original 19th-century inn has been extended, whilst still retaining the charm and comfort of a country house, now also providing the facilities of a modern hotel. The hotel can be found just off the A5 in the heart of the Vale of Llangollen in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are numerous places of interest, historic buildings and shops to visit locally and the towns of Wrexham and Chester are 10 and 25 minutes drive away respectively.
