|Wine & Roses Hotel Restaurant...|
The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are exquisite, and the food in the Towne Restaurant is delicious!
They did not book me in the downstairs room requested well ahead of time, and confirmed twice - so it too a bit to get it resolved. This is the nicest place to stay in Lodi. The rooms are well appointed, the food is delicious, and the grounds are well manicured. It is centrally located, yet quiet, near the old town of Lodi, the newly developed malls, and the fabulous wineries.
Everything. The exquisite room, the beautiful grounds, and the delicious food.
I had called ahead of time to confirm I was getting a down stairs patio in the Garden Rooms. When I arrived I was given an upstairs, and had to go back to the desk. Then they were going to give me a Spa Room - which has vibrant-clashing wall colors. The exquisite room, the beautiful grounds, and the delicious food. Lodi is full of wonderful wineries, restaurants, and attractions. The Towne Restaurant is expensive, so you can eat in town for much less. The W & R is perfectly located close to town, but in a quiet area. The grounds are best seen in May. If you love to cycle - this is the place - especially May/June and Sept/Oct. Lodi produces 600 million bottles of premium wine - mostly sold in the Sonoma/Napa Counties. It takes 2.5# of grapes for one bottle! Being stuck in Lodi again, is not such a bad thing after-all! and...the Wine & Roses is the BEST place to b...
quiet / great garden area /good size room
price of room high for location /room taxes outrageous.. hotel tax & resort tax
The room was spacious and clean. Parking was convenient.
The hotel has stone floors in restroom and entry. We were on the ground floor and the noise was incredible. Would not book a street level room.Lodi is a small, agricultural community. There is a pleasant downtown area that boasts a fabulous cheese shop. Be sure to go to the bakery at the Dancing Fox. The breads and brunch are excellent. Lodi is known for Zinfandel wines, although they do not compare to Napa or Sonoma quality. We enjoyed an 'overnight' on the way to Sonoma. Be sure to try out the Wine and Roses restaurant!
