The location is incredible--really, that's what you're paying for. The decor is also lovely, but not tremendously well-maintained.
The staff weren't very friendly or helpful. When we checked in, they were barely able to tell us how to get to our room (convoluted--if you stay in the 'townhouse' area of the hotel, you go up a floor, cross the hallway, then down to another floor). The setup of the hotel isn't very baggage-friendly: squeezing two average-sized suitcases and two people into the elevator put us at capacity. Thankfully we never encountered anyone with whom we had to share the lift, but it was uncomfortable and the layout of the hotel made it difficult to find our room. We got in at 10 PM, checked in, and the clerk at the desk seemed really stressed out, considering there was no one else in the lobby except for the porter. The clerk was unfriendly, seemed stressed, and wouldn't allow me to ask about the internet. In the end, I had to call ...
the location, quiet neighborhood, and charming area
Awful rooms, and the beds were so uncomfortable, I could not sleep all night. The size of the room was ridiculously small. No view. the room window looked out to an air conditioning unit. The room and furniture was ancient. The bedding was awful. The pictures of the hotel and star rating are misleading. The rooms we received were not even close to what we saw on the website. I do not understand how it got a 4 star rating!! I do not think I could ever trust the star rating ever again. I was embarrassed when our parties arrived and saw the rooms. We stayed in 5 hotels on this London trip, and we all referred to this one as 'The Dive'. I give it 1 star!

But it is npormal for most of London hotels. There was no fridge in the room. And hair dryer was not working. But me and my wife were looking a clean room and hot shower. Over all it was a nice clean and newly renoveted hotel. Stuff for almost all London hotels were international. But for this hotel stuff were very friendly and helpfull. I would recomend this hotel.

The location is excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
The room we were assigned had not been renovated in a very long time and the hotel lobby was still under renovation (however, the renovations do look great and are well needed).Great location and great staff. The rooms are a little stuffy (at least the one we were in). Overall, it was a good stay - very good value for location and friendly staff.
Location is convenient to several tourist attractions, within walking distance.
Incorrectly rated a 3-star, definitely in the class of a US Motel 6. Somewhat unkept; signs of wear all over; very strict staff; concierge a waste of time. Please revise the rating down one notch; otherwise you are misleading your readers. The Marriott at Grosvenor Square is also rated a 3-star like this establishment; however, next to the Marriott, this place is a dive.

The location was fantastic, mere steps from the British Museum, a short walk from the heart of London and Parliament, Buckingham Palace etc. There was a tube station around the corner, which made it easy to get around to all kinds of sites.
The room was very small by American standards, the bathroom too dark to see well to put on makeup, there was very little space for storing clothes, and a few small stains on the carpeting which also bubbled in places. In general, we enjoyed the experience and would stay at the hotel again, perhaps paying a little more next time for a slightly nicer room. The location was hard to beat.
Comfortable bed, large bathtub (with shower attachment), quiet, good temperature control, good location, friendly staff.
The room was pretty small, but it was adequate. Even at the discounted Kayak price, it was expensive, but the value for money was still high.

Very nice bathroom, restaurant very good but needs to open a little earlier for the typical tourist (tours can start earlier, but restaurant not open until 7am)
Small water bottles in room cost 5 pounds ($8 USD)! Restaurant needs to open a little earlier. Noisy street out front most evenings.

Radisson Blu is a good centrally located hotel serving both vacation and business travelers. Good location near Marble Arch (Central Line) and short walk to Bond Street (Central / Jubilee) tube stations. Close to Oxford Street one of the main shopping streets in London - just behind Selfridges. Rooms are clean and a good size with the usual flat screen Tv and tea/coffee makers. Excellent buffet breakfast - all such are pricy and this might even be a bit less than normal London prices at 19 pounds each. We had lunch when we arrived and the food, wine and pleasant service were most welcome. The restaurant was usually pretty empty in the evenings but the food was well prepared if not inspired on the evening we eat in. The curry selection I had on room service one evening was really excellent. There are quite a few good restaurants within walking distance and Soho is just 2 tube stops or 15 minutes walk away. Id recommend this hotel to friends and will probably stay there again.
My wife and I randomly selected this hotel to stay for 3 days on our way back from our honeymoon in Europe, before we connected for our flight home. The location is great right off of Oxford St., but you still feel like you're in a pleasent quiet part of town with the square just outside. Our view from the room was not ideal, but the living comforts made up for that and we never really fussed post arrival. The staff was great and really made us feel special for our honeymoon. We planned to eat out at great restaurants in town but the dining downstairs proved to be good enough to keep us at the hotel many times. We are now planning another trip to Europe later this summer (2010) and we are definitely staying here again.

Everything (room, restaurant, bar, etc) was very clean. Staff was friendly and efficient Breakfast was excellent. with plenty of items to choose from

The location was quite good. They did offer free breakfast because they were doing renovation in the hallway.
The decoration was really dated. There was a really stupid picture above the bed. The minibar was not well stocked at all. The TV covered the large mirror - it looked really odd. It didn't feel like a 5 star hotel at all.Very dated, the room needed completely redecorating.

The staff was extremely slow. Routine tasks, like getting a new room key or checking out, took at LEAST 20 minutes. In addition, the hotel charged me for the room after the room had been booked and paid through Priceline.
First trip to London. We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. They took great care of us and were very efficient. Very cute, european room with all amenities, even U.S. electrical outlets! Booked the deluxe room before we left just to be safe...worth every penny! Hotel bar had light foods (pizza, nachos) and great margaritas. Great location..2 min.walk from Great Portland tub station and right by Regent's Park which is absolutely beautiful. Can't think of any negatives, except coffee was not the greatest but we expected that.
