The staff was friendly and efficient. We had an overnight and then an afternoon flight so we decided to venture out to Windsor Castle. Paige was very helpful and cheerful about storing our bags and giving us directions.
The room was fine but wifi would have been nice for checking into flights, etc. Definitely an aging facility but if you can get a cheap rate, it does the job. The water was scalding hot almost instantly, so if you're travelling with children, be very careful!
Free local buses to Heathrow.
Wireless didn't work in room (networks not available).
I did not like that WiFi was not available to guests.
Location, price & ease of check-in
The bed linens were washed or treated in a toxic substance which made it difficult to breathe hence difficult to sleep. Front desk staff were clueless and had no options of allergy-free linens.
Location: It's a free public bus ride from Heathrow on several bus routes (e.g., 285, 105, 111). Harlington Corner is the closest stop, but there are a few other bus stops (depending on which line you take) that are within 300 m. Ask at the front desk for the full list of buses that are free from the hotel to the airport (or read the route signs on the poles at the Heathrow Central bus stop). The 285 goes 24/7 and there's also a night bus that goes from Heathrow to the hotel for the later hours. That being said, there are many hotels that are within a short free bus ride from the airport. The cons definitely outweighed this pro and I wouldn't stay here again!
Service: They messed up our reservation and not even the manager could figure out how to fix it within their computer system. I checked in late at night (a little after 11 pm) and had to wait there for about 45 minutes until they could book a proper room for me. I kindly asked if they could give me a room to go to while they figure out how to complete the booking in their system (it was late and I was exhausted after travel), and the On Duty Manager snapped at me and told me to just be patient. Cleanliness: The bathtub drain was clogged and there was hair all over the tub! Appearance: The hotel is aging and hasn't been maintained very well.
Everything was great, even the restaurant and staff
The fire alarm going off at 7am waking everyone up when we had to fly in a couple hrs and having to meet outside in the cold and then having no one tell us anything. We just stood there for 30 min then the alarm turned off and people started walking back in. So no communication would be a biggy.
Descent hotel close to the airport.
Reception messed up our reservation and gave us a single room instead of a double.
would be nice if there were an exercise room, even just a treadmill or 2
It was brief, one night. The minivan was there promptly at 5:25 am to take us to the terminal.
The food in the restaurant was less than mediocre.
excellent servise in the restaurant where we had dinner at night, by a male celner
receptionist was excellent, fast check in, arranged a taxi for me and a swift check out all handled by the same lady.
