I don't know why I rec'd such a screaming deal on this room. I would not have been surprised if we had been put in a broom closet for the price. IT WAS DELUXE! Best possible ending to a friend's busy 4-day wedding event. So modern, sleek, clean.
The only thing we didn't like was that we didn't get there sooner to enjoy all the amenities.
Staff at check-in and breakfast area where very helpful. Well lit and ample parking. Bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was well stocked and flavorful.
Refrigerator and microwave on the floor near the entry hallway of the room was a toe stubbing accident waiting to happen. A/C unit noisy.
I had called to request a room with a refrigerator many hours before arrival. They said no problem. Put us in a room that didn't have one so had to change rooms.
Friendly night staff
The eggs served at breakfast are terrible. The worker showed me the bag of yellow goo that is supposed to be eggs. Ugh.
Cleanliness was excellent.
They charged the wrong credit card for incidentals and then charged my personal credit card $40 extra dollars. Took several phone calls to get the $100 back onto the two cards.
The breakfast area was a mess..I felt sorry for the lady trying to keep it stocked...the set up was in the middle of where the food.was difficult to get plates because other people were trying to get food..put the plated on the end.
First timers in Louisville and found a winner in Fairfield Inn & Suites. From check in to check out desk crew was very courteous and helpful, especially with directions and places to eat. Room was spacious and clean and floor was relatively quiet. Breakfast was more than adequate although could use a little variety since we were there four days. Exercise room and pool small but adequate. Only additions I'd like to see is in room refrigerator, but that is minor. Need to return to the area for a conference in November will definitely stay at this hotel even though conference is downtown.
was a great hotel , felt a lot like a 5 star hotel
We had a huge group (35 women) staying at this hotel for a conference last weekend, and while the rooms were extremely nice and clean, they were tiny. We reserved about 12 rooms and all were to have 2 queen beds. We had between 2 and 4 women staying in each room. When we arrived to check in, the staff apologized but told us that all the rooms that were booked had one king bed in each room instead of the 2 queens we were promised. This was fine for some people that had 2 people in the room, but for those that had 3 or 4, it was extremely uncomfortable. There were no cots available so we had women sleeping on the floors. The rooms did not have sofas, just a chair, so that was not sleep-able. With 2 women on the floor and 2 in the bed, there was not even enough room to get out of bed at night to go to the restroom without waking someone up to move out of the way. It was an awful mistake. And there were NO other rooms available anywhere in the Louisville area because this conference was so huge. If we had gotten the rooms we were promised, I'd have nothing but positive things to say about this hotel. The rooms were clean and beautiful. Wireless internet throughout the hotel. Wonderful breakfast. Beautiful decor. Too bad someone messed up so terribly. By the way, we booked over 3 months in advance.
We stay at the Marriott chain hotels often since they are reliable. This is a newer hotel. Nicely decorated. Free internet in the lobby (2 computers that always had at least one available) and free WiFi in the room. Free breakfast was nice - - note that the Jimmy Dean breakfast biscuits were terrible, but there were plenty of other options to pick from like fresh hot belgian waffles, muffins, cereal, bananas, apples, yogurt. Now that I think about it, the donuts weren't so good, but again, plenty of other things to pick from. Downtown area is about a 15 minute drive without hassle. Cracker Barrel next door, Ruby Tuesday and Hometown Buffet just a fraction of a mile away. We are not extremely picky when selecting a hotel, but we want someplace that is safe, clean and comfortable. This met our standards. We paid * per night. My only complaint is that the beds were a little hard, but we slept through the night fine and some people like hard beds.
