A fabulous location with easy touring for Brittany and Normandy. La Bossiere stands in it's own 6 acres of land at the end of a country lane. With origins in the 17th century it is steeped in history and there are tales of Huguenots hidden within the priest hole which still survives today within the immense granite walls! It commands beautiful views as far as the eye can see over the cider orchard and lake. Every room retains a character of it's own with features such as granite walls, wood fires, beamed ceilings, grand beds and a wealth of French and world antiques and art. La Bossiere is a comfortable house year round. There are two double rooms both en-suite with exquisite French antique beds.Situated on the Brittany/Normandy border, we are close to the medieval town of Fougeres with over a 1,000 years of history and home to the largest Chateau in Europe. Also nearby is the WWII American Cemetery at St James, and the spectacular Mont St Michel.A delicious three course dinner is available on request. We use organic seasonal produce from our vegetable garden.
