Come to the 3-star Swiss Heidi Hotel to sample Switzerland’s past and present and enjoy the natural beauty of the Chur Rhine Valley. This modern hotel in Maienfeld provides comfortable, contemporary accommodations in the mountainous Graubünden region made famous by Johanna Spyri’s classic book, Heidi. The Swiss Heidi Hotel’s light, airy rooms and modern conveniences make it a good place to stay for both families on holiday and business travelers. Light refreshments and local wines are served in the hotel bistro, which has a large, sunny terrace and direct access to the gardens. Head to the classy Heidi Bar, with its genuine, pine-wood decor, for an evening aperitif. Free parking is on site. The helpful staff can arrange for transportation to the local sights by coach or horse-drawn carriage. The hotel is located in the picturesque village of Maienfeld, a 2-minute walk from the Maienfeld train station; it is also convenient to European route E43/the A13 motorway. Maienfeld is the heart of the tourist area, sometimes called Heidiland, and it is the home of the attraction called Heidi’s Village. More authentic, historic sites include Brandis Castle, surrounded by vineyards, and Salenegg Castle. Nearby St. Luzisteig Pass connects Maienfeld with the village of Balzers in Liechtenstein. On the opposite side of the A13 motorway is the spa town of Bad Ragaz, home of the Heidiland Golf Club, the Bad Ragaz Golf Club, and the ruins of the Freudenberg Castle. Please note that the property will remain closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
The hotel was clean and well organized,Breakfast was nice,as an architect I loved the interior design of the rooms, the furniture was comfortable and I loved how the staff were friendly.
The location was bad,no nice views, most of the surrounding areas were workshops and ware houses. No facilities in the room such as water boiler for coffee and tea, fridge, and ac. It was the only hotel I have been to in Switzerland that you can smell Cigarettes in the lobby and corridors. The Value for money was bad, I have stayed in much better hotels for less price and 10 times and more better in value, better services, views and many other things.
