helpfull friendly staff and good room made it a very pleasent stay
Location was in a business district so the neighbourhood looked safe. Having a kitchen and fridge was a real boon and utensils were provided. Shops were close-by as well which was wonderful. Clean rooms and nicely presented. Air-conditioning was essential. Only 3 Metro stops from Vieux Port. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would happily recommend this hotel.
The lack of a safe deposit box was a problem. They had a small box in the office behind the counter but it was a common box for all the guests rather than seperate ones. We ended up carrying our money around with us.
The hotel are, ok...but the peoples who work there is horrible...i forget my bag there and I call to them put this in the post office and I pay here and they say no because have nobody to do that...they just say to me to be back and take my stuuf I am 800km from there so...i looose all my things...
The staff was nice. It was a little hard to find because the name on the sign is different - "Resid'hotel" or something like that. Nice location near some restaurants down the street.
The room and bedding smelled very smoky despite the assurance from the staff that "all the rooms are non-smoking."
+ Even though we're trying to learn french it was nice to have at least one lady behind the reception desk who spoke english. And since we had our own (quite sufficiently equipped) kitchen it was nice to go grocery shopping to the neighboring street which happened to be a marketplace every (weekday) morning! Metro station quite close the Résidence.
- Staff could explain the rules more clearly, especially to visiters who stays in the Résidence more than just 1 or 2 nights. There's no cleaning but after you leave. Garbage has to be carried downstairs but you don't know where untill you ask the receptionist. Not the best choise for someone who likes to eat out and loves to lie on the beach all day. 2 km to the nearest beach.
