Comfortable/clean bed (not too soft) and pillows, nice shower, coffee/tea in room, elevators, breakfast selection, free wifi that worked well.
1) Lobby reeked of stale cigarette 2) elevators reeked of deodorizer 3) room was musty and felt damp at arrival, bathroom floor was sticky 4) No anti-bug casings on mattresses or box springs 5)areas kind of grubby around the edges
Breakfast had good variety and breakfast room was really big, plenty of seating.
While there was nothing really unsanitary, it would not have taken much to improve the cleanliness. The same yucky towels were under the ice machine for three days and the carpet needed cleaning.
Had the basics and was adequate for a one night stay. Nothing special.
Courteous staff member
Musty stale smell in the room
Great staff...very accommodating. Easy access on/off 95.
Staff is fantastic room are always clean
Traffic in area is always congested
Convenient location, nice choice of breakfast items, including hot food (bacon, grits, biscuits and gravy).
The ventilation system inside the room is very poor
I have stayed here before so its familiar. Its in a great location right in the middle of everything and not far from the highway.
I dont think the room was as clean as it should have been. There was hairs on the sheets which I know werent mine. There was hair hanging from the showerhead. Both kinda skeezed me out
Location was good
Didn't like the barking dogs late at night it was after 1030pm
The location to major highways, and restaurants, and Richmond. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The bathroom had recently been remodeled. The tub had been newly refurbished--nice and clean. We also liked the two different kinds of pillows on the bed. I like a firm and my other half likes soft.
The hotel was dirty, noisy, staff was rude.. Housekeeping of room was poor.. Need much updating Staff hung up on me when I called to complain Owner no where to talk to.. Tried to call her but was again hung up on Will never stay here again..
Staff friendly and helpful as always, and the location was perfect for my needs
Location and size of the rooms. Wish they were all no smoking.
The smoking smell. The smoke smell was overpowering in the hallway.
The staff was really nice, the continental breakfast was good as expected (the pancake machine is great), and it was easy and convenient to bring our dog along too.
For two days the hotel was completely out of extra pillows, towels, and blankets. Somewhat inconvenient, but the place was clean overall. Big TV in the room. Complimentary breakfast was your average fare.
Room was clean and quiet! Bathroom was roomy. Restaurants within walking distance.
I think my problem is with Priceline. To my knowledge there was no option today I need double beds instead of queen beds. Hotel staff blamed it on Priceline. Caused a really embarrassing situation!
It has a good room size and good service. They continental breakfast was good. Near the gas station, restaurants and convenience store across. Staff was awesome.
I found a bloodied panty under my bed. Told the management and they took note of it. Called priceline and told them also. I got a refund of my stay.
I went down to bury my mother the drive was the worst part, but the good thing was when we arrived check in was quick and our room was ready the pool was clean and the staff was pleasant. Thank you for making a tough time bareable
The room that I was in was clean and well furnished. The morning breakfast included some real protein, healthy foods along with the regular sweets. The staff at the front desk was very nice and helpful at any time that I was there. Good job. All together well done.
Me and my wife enjoyed our stay in this Holiday Inn Express. The bed was huge and comfortable, and the room was clean. I thought it was odd that they still had a wired lan connection in the room, instead of wireless, but it works so its all good. The free breakfast in the morning was a nice bonus. We would stay here again.
My kids and I needed a place to stay while we were in Richmond visiting family for Christmas. The room was just the right size for our purpose. Not too small and not too big. The people at the front dest were helpful and friendly. The towels were nice and thick. The beds were comfortable and the room was nicely decorated. My 3 sons ages 7, 9, and 11, thought the room looked great. There were 4 pillows on each bed. The pillowcases were labeled with 'soft' and 'firm'. If I can get a good rate like a did this Christmas, I plan on staying there this summer.
