the central location, was only 10-15 minutes from most tourist sites
had problems with the tv
Misrepresentation of having a jacuzzi when it was unable
Not much, facilities were worn and run down, dilapidated and in need of refurbishment.
Breakfast meagre in cramped room. Bathroom taps worn and hard to adjust for water flow and temperature. Hotel management uninterested either in the problems being pointed out, OR in doing anything about fixing them. We almost left ahead of time.
The room was very spacious. The motel looks small from the outside, but was surprisingly deep inside. The breakfast was basic, but good enough to hold us over to lunch.A cab ride to Beale Street was only $12.
The room was extra large
I was afraid to park my car there, much less haul my luggage up the narrow broken stairs to the room. I took a loss and booked another hotel for the night.
Close to the hospital where I am interviewing. Quiet neighborhood. great for 1 nigh stay
The size and furnishings of the room
It didn't seem like a safe location - even the ice machine was located inside the small office as was the kitchen. The breakfast was not what was advertised. We had to go upstairs on the outside to our door.
I loved the large room. It was set up great!
The parking was not good. It was also hard to get out of the parking lot/ space
room was roomy.
Bathroom was cramped; lighting in bathroom and bedroom was minimal at best. No lamp for desk. Caulking in bathroom near floor looked moldy. The breakfast area was the office/registration area. Not at all inviting. Food was very BASIC.
clean, cheap, close to hospital
nothing given the price
Room was exceptionally large, clean, was not at all worn down. Seemed to have been recently remodeled. Wifi was included and worked well. Deck clerk was friendly and efficient.
Exterior of motel was not as nice as the room. There was garbage cans at the stairwell landings that were fairly aromatic. Breakfast was totally forgettable.
The room was big and clean. The location was good.
The lobby and breakfast area was very poor.
The interior of the room wasn't awful.
This hotel is not in the best neighborhood. The king size bed was so worn out both people in the bed rolled into the center of the bed. The continental breakfast was disgusting, and no staff could be found when I went to check out.
When I explained to them that I had a physical handicap that prevented me from climbing stairs, they immediately showed me to a first floor room that meet our approval.
Room was clean and bedings were clean
This hotel is right on the road. There is no compound wall or any sought. People standing in the balcony, smoking and talking louder. Food was horrible.
Big room and courteous staff. We'd stayed at a $---/ night hotel the night before, and this room was more comfortable and had a bathtub so we could give our child a bath in something other than a sink.
Very dated ... It's clear that the building is old and the faucets were worn out so hard to shut off. Also, the location was a bit iffy ... We were on the first floor with a door to the street and anxious about that due to the condition of the area.
Drove by bu did not stay there. Did not look anything like a 2 star hotel !
The neighborhood looked marginally safe at best, my wife would not get out of the car. Did not feel like I could leave my car there safely. Looked more like a one star hotel at best.
Never checked in...location was poor and outside of hotel didn't look inviting either
Bad location...poor looking outside
the room is really clean, big, and look good.
the staff was rude and they do not answer when you ask them something.
Clean and not far from downtown area. Good quality price ratio
Breakfast is definitely not good
The price was great.
They leave the door open before you get there. The bed had a bug on it. That kinda crept me out i it thought was bed bugs.
It is near the east end of the Memphis Medical District.
It took awhile to get hot water for a shower. The cable TV service was experiencing interruptions for the 3 days I was there.
Hotel was clean, rooms were large - nothing fancy, but it did the trick.
Continental breakfast was very limited: waffles, cereals, and muffins with coffee and teas. No swimming pool.
Very big and clean room!!!
location to downtown memphis 10 mins awaay
the staff could be more friendly.
It was clean and recently redone.
Location is terrible. No parking and no space to eat your complementary breakfast.
It was suppose to have an outdoor pool, it had it listed on its website thru priceline. I was very unsatisfied, you had to ask for ice and breakfast was very limited. NO elevator for someone with knee and back trouble that is a must.
The room is very spacious with a sofa, microwave, and fridger. Also, there is a small table for dinning. It was very convenient to prepare and eat some food for our four family members.
The parking lot is open to the road and the breakfast area is very tiny, so we brought the food to the room.
Exterior, parking, neighborhood, etc. scary! Interior nice enough, spacious, clean.
Location was in too sketchy of a neighborhood.
nice room, cab distance to everything in Memphis in May.
Very large room, and high end furnishings. Staff MOST helpful, giving info about the city to us tourists!
A local street map would have been useful. Failed to locate our route out of Memphis after our stay, and no staff member was available over breakfast for us to consult about this.
The room was quite a bit bigger than I expected, and it was comfortable, although a bit dated. But it wasn't very expensive, was quiet, and it seemed that everything we wanted to do was only about 10 minutes away. It looks pretty shabby on the outside, but inside is quite a bit better. Only major downside: tried to check out in the morning, and couldn't get anyone's attention in the office, via the night bell, or by phone to the front desk. I ended up just leaving and then calling later. I had prepaid, so that wasn't a big problem, just annoying.
Good hotel for the value. Easily accessible, short drive into downtown and major highways. The breakfast was ok, but served its purpose of eating something in the morning.
I went to Memphis alone to do and externship at the University of Tennessee and to take the dental board. This motel was just exactly what I needed. The room was huge, I never had a space issue. The bath was clean and the shower works great. I can say the only cons was the A/C system that was a little noisy, but its functionality was pretty good. I had to walk everyday to the University (1,2 mile) and never saw something dangerous or a rough neighbor. I had to study for a long period of time and it was always quiet, so I had no problems. In addition the family in charge was very friendly. Specially the young man called Harry. He was so kind and did many favors to me. He drove me to the market to buy groceries. The day of my exam, he took me to the Memphis University (10-15 miles away) and also pick me up when I finished.... Absolutely FRIENDLY. Me and my relatives bought many items from the internet and send it to the motel. They never complain about all the packages they received. Internet works perfect. I use skype all the time without issues. I will only recommend that they improve the breakfast food and the place where you have to have it. If I ever go again to Memphis I will stay there again. A+++++
Room was fantastic Clean and Comfortable. Satff was great too and helpful. The hotel is excellent, the breakfast was good but the service and staff were outstanding. It was so nice to see staff laugh and cut up with the hotel guests (us LOL). Our room was very clean, spacious, and the A/C worked great, especially considering it was about 95 outside. housekeeping was on top of everything, check in/out was a breeze.. there's nothing negative i can say... \ I will highly recommend to my friends and family. Short drive to Beale st but close to other attractions.
The room was very NICE and Clean when you enter in room the first expression is WOW a HUGE room and this one is the cleanest hotel I ever stayed. Staff was very kind and helpful even gave us print-out of directions as well as recommend food places near by!!!! and people keep forget about everything comes with a price!!! I mean I have read complaining about breakfast and area. if you are wiling to pay $* for 1 night at memphis downtown you are welcome they will even spoon feed your breakfast but for me this hotel and service was amazing and the price I paid was way little less. which includes iron iron board microwave freeze coffee maker and Flat screen plasma + wonderful staff and service!!!! I recommend this place to every one coming in memphis
Rooms were large but DIRTY hair in bathtb had rust in the tub with large hairs representatives were a little helpful would not reccomend to anyone the hotel was in a RUNDOWN part of area and did not feel safe at all many night life WEIRED PEOPLE walking around hotel and staying at the hotel i found out I paid $ DOLLARS for one night and this one man had the same type of room which he got his for THIRTY !!!
