Bath tub had like a tub shield and had water underneath so made you feel like you were going to fall, not good
Everything was perfect. Room was cleaned everyday. Plenty of towels. Hotel staff was very helpful.
It served its purpose.
You could hear the reunion going on the first floor from the fourth floor. There was a sock in my room.
The hotel was located just a few miles from the city (New Orleans).
The bathroom had mold on the shower curtain and when we asked for an extra towel to be brought up to the room, it never came. Terrible customer service.
Staff was polite and friendly
The hotel charging taxes after I had already paid taxes no breakfast provided.
Check in/out was very easy. The receptionist greeted me in a very friendly manner. There was no wait.
Most Best Western chains offer a free breakfast and that was not available here.
We arrived pass midnight because of flight delays. With our GPS we were able to find very easily. I liked the parking garage.
We really did not stay very long. Just slept and left before check out time. The only thing was that housekeeping came in while I was showering which was a little shocking but they apologized and excused themselves.
At 6am there was a lot of noise that woke me and my baby up. The front desk staff was very unfriendly
This hotel was great. We had a baseball tournAment and the kids loved the hotel. Security was an awesome bonus. Gonna stay here if I ever get back to NEW ORLEANS!!!
Was surprised they didn't have free breakfast. They do have a cafe.
Great hotel in a great location. Located behind a Whole Foods, with shopping mall and other great restaurants nearby. I didn't want to stay downtown; uwanted free parking and less activity. The parking was in a covered lot, which was also great.
The hotel was near a number of restaurants only a few blocks away. The value was good for the location.
There were a number of bars nearby, making it difficult to get into the hotel at night because of all the parked cars near the hotel.
Really liked the hotel great location and amenities
Rom was next to the hotel gym. Kids playing in there was very disruptive. Staff was quick to fix
you could walk to a Whole Foods market right around the corner. Room was very nicely laid out. Clerk was thoughtful to put us far from a very loud wedding party in the downstairs meeting rooms.
Booked this hotel by mistake, thought the location was closer to downtown. Had chosen a cruise that was leaving from New Orleans, cause I've never been. Once arrived staff was accommodating in helping me find a place downtown. Erika was so helpful I want to have a reason to go back and stay at this hotel.
Close to shopping and food. Not far from downtown.
You have to call the front desk to get the wifi user name and password.
Location...close to downtown New Orleans without the traffic and inconvenience of downtown.
On two nights, a very loud wedding rehearsal and wedding reception kept things noisy until very late at night. The public areas are not separated from the rooms because of the open gallery construction, so there was no way to isolate the noise.
I was forced to stay in a smoking room. It was completely disgusting. I had to send my kids to sleep at a family member's house because they were both coughing from the cigarette smoke.
Free parking was nice.
We were given a smoking room even though we requested a non smoking room. The staff made no attempt to change our room and said we should book directly with them as when it is booked through a third party, they do not need to grant request, even smoking.
housekeeping shoddy, no shampoo ( 2 conditioners) no reg coffee in room iron did not work properly
Room did not get cleaned, no shower curtain, had to wait 30mins for staff to bring a key for another room
The best feature about this hotel is the structure. It's a towering hotel that you can see from the highway.
There was no shuttle to New Orleans nor was there a continental breakfast. The cab fare was on average $32.50. The staff, although answered questions, were not very friendly.
The staff was as accommodating as possible...Let my kids swim an hour later, thank you!
Mold and mold smells...Room smells...Price for the quality of hotel
Dirty, expensive for the price, loud
Close to the city.
It was difficult to navigate to the hotel from the main road. Coffee in the morning was not FREE!
Room size and parking convenience.
Room on 7th floor yet still noisy.
Total joke! The tower part is not even open for rooms. My 3 year old was so exited to sleep at the castle. All the view is was a bar aross the dark little street. The tub/shower was filthy, full of black hair. Telephone did not work at all..Lamps were broken. One towel, no shampoo/conditioner or soap. Breakfast was $* for buffet that was cold and tasted like microwaved food. One gentleman at the front desk was nice but did not do anything to help resolve any of the problems. My advice.... stay somewhere else.
We stayed here for jazz fest with our children who are 7 and 11. Clean rooms, comfy beds, very friendly staff. Parking garage with ample and convenient parking. Nearby restaurants were great! Only minutes to Uptown or French Quarter. Only about a ten minute drive to Jazz Fest. However, while we were there, only one elevator worked and there are no interior stairs to access the rooms. Stairs are for fire egress only. You can imagine a hotel full of people with one operational elevator! And its NOT a fast-moving one.
The online pictures were accurate, but that was the facade. The room was tiny. The door didn't close fully and had to be shifted on its hinges to not be blocked by the door trim. The shower knob provided either very hot water with decent pressure or reasonable temperature water with poor pressure, your choice. The parking garage was also incredibly small. With a van, it was difficult to pull into or out of a parking spot. They double parked cars all through the exit lane and you couldn't get out without waiting for someone to move four cars. The door to the room showed light all the way around it, so there was no insulation. With warm weather that wasn't an issue beyond everyone who walked by on the balcony at 2AM sounding like they were standing in your room talking to you. The WI-FI service was unbelievably bad. It was too weak to maintain a signal in my room. I, and many others, obtained their only signals in the hotel lobby. The claim was that 'a storm blew out some of their access points' two days before I arrived. Five days later, I was there for a conference, they were still 'blown'. Of course, it would take a trip to Best Buy to replace them in a day. In the lobby, it was terribly slow. The room air conditioner would not cool the room. It blew plenty of air - outside temperature. I mentioned it to the hotel manager and was told to 'come down the next morning and remind' them so they 'could have their maintenance guy look at it'. Bad answer, that's why I?m telling you now, so you can write it down and remember it yourself!
With no hotel rooms available in New Orleans because of the NBA's All Star Week, I found the Best Western Landmark in Metairie. My travel time to N.O. was fiften minutes or less. xxx, xxx and xxx were the guest desk staff that went out of their way to accomodate me with reservations, directions, etc. and very helpful with any information when I needed it. The room was very clean, safe, comfortable and quiet. It was great that wireless internet was available in the room. I didn't eat there or use any of the other amenities so I have no opinion on those items. The room's coffee pot makes only one cup at a time and there were no tea bags available. I would stay there again without hesitation.
the hotel is in the midst of major renovation due to storm damage.staff very courteous and helpful.
