Location and room and privacy...
No TV in the living room, you don't wanna be confined to the bedroom the whole night.....
Most of it. The room that I was originally put in was the shabbiest place I have stayed in probably over twenty years. It was good that I was upgraded, but it never should have happened in the first place. I consider Shamrock to be guilty of misrepresentation on the website, as the unit was not as advertised. Apparently the room I rented it isnt even Shamrock property. Apparently they didnt have a one-bedroom available, so you put in in a unit ownerd by somebody else. Nice. It wont happen again, though :)
The one bedroom apartment we stayed in was perfect. Very clean and spacious, with lots of niceties (such as coffee pot with coffee, filters, etc; washing machine and dryer, with two packets of laundry soap). Complex was easy to find, safe and staff were helpful. Would definitely recommend to others looking to stay in this part of Miami.
The hotel/apartment was perfect, except that there was no hair dryer.
Lots of privacy, quick check in and out.Good shopping area
More kitchen utensils are needed e.g large bowls, baking pans ect.
everything was fine
location a little bit far away from everything
The hotel area was quite OK and relatively quiet. The apartment had all necessary facilities. A good base to stay when you just need a place to overnight and not spend too much time at the hotel.
The hotel is located quite far from everything but you can manage with a car. The pool is not heated which was a big disappointment for the kids. There were some things to be repaired in the room and the service was quite slow.
The flooring needed mopping/vacuuming. Basically, it did not feel clean. In fact, I had booked the hotel for 3 nights, and left after 2, forfeiting my last night's booking. I was not happy about it, but did not want to stay another night. So, I booked a room on the bay in coconut grove for only $130 a night (worth the difference - 4 star hotel!). I had been considering staying at the shamrock for a couple of 3 months while looking for permanent housing, but I won't be doing that (sadly).
It has a familiar environment which does help when you have children. They also do act inmediatly when there is any problem inside the facilities.
We got into the facilities from the Airport at around 2:30 am and it was not ease to know how to get inside the complex.
Location is excellent for west Miami sights like Everglades National Park and the Miami zoo. Shopping is close by. Nice pool area. Apartments have washer and dryer.
The internet in the room did not work with my computer. We had to go to the office to use their wireless. Limited selection of kitchen equipment - no salad bowls or serving bowls, for example.
