The eight-story Art Deco-style Ambassador Hotel combines 1920s sophistication with contemporary amenities, including 120 rooms with large flat-panel TVs, plush bedding, designer toiletries, bathrobes and coffeemakers. Marble flooring, bronze elevator doors and polished nickel sconces add to the fine features of this hotel, which also provides free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour business and fitness centers. Dining options include breakfast, lunch and dinner in the on-site restaurant or small bites and coffee in the cafe. Pets are welcome for an additional fee. Parking is available for a fee, and area shuttle service is complimentary.
Nice rooms, spacious and well arranged. I'm guessing they never move the furniture at all when they clean because there was all sorts of trash and food under the couch an TV stand. Soft beds, lots of pillows.
The room and bathroom were very large
Overall, the hotel seems a little shabby. The blinds in the bathroom were dirty and sticky. One of the elevators wasn't working upon check-out, so after waiting 10 minutes or so for the other one, I had to carry my suitcase down the stairs. It seems expensive for what feels more like a motel than a hotel.
Dirty old hotel. No vending machines, unhelpful staff. The area around the hotel was not in the best location.
Staff, shuttle service
Location, outdated, overpriced, no vending machines, dirty rooms
Beautifully restored Art Deco hotel. Staff friendly and attentive. Room very large. Free shuttle to any location downtown which was convenient. Great proximity to Marquette University.
Beautiful interior, non-homogenized aesthetic, helpful staff, great central location, tasty food on site and a complimentary shuttle available for those working in the area.
Neighbors could be easily heard at times, but it is an older hotel so that kind of comes with the territory.
I loved that the consiarge Eric helped me out with setting up our room. He was great!! Food also was great from Envoy. Everything was wonderful.
One of the front desk people ( Connie I believe her name was) she was very crass toward the person that had dropped some items off for me the night before we checked in. Also the box that was on front of the TV did not work when I hooked up my laptop with the HDMI cord.
The room was bigger then expected, which was nice
We had to pay $20 to park and they had snow on the roof of the parking garage, so we got stuck along with 5 other cars and had to help push each other out
TV in the room was not working, structure is old,
The hotel overall was very beautiful, we had a clean, great sized room. Parking did cost $20, but they give you a pass when you check in so you can come and go as many times as you'd like with the one ticket they give you. There's also convenient 90 minute parking right by the main entrance if you just need to quick pop in and out. There are no microwaves or refrigerators in the room, but you can request and pay $10 a night for them. Overall we had a great experience.
Everything was great. The room was lovely and clean, the staff friendly and courteous. I definitely would stay there again. The one "issue," and I use that term very loosely, we alerted them to and they took care of it. The shuttle was convenient, the driver friendly. The food in the cafe was great, the service was fast and incredibly kind. All in all, it was great and we're excited to go back.
This is minor, and could be fixed if I get a Chromecast, but a few cheaper movies would be awesome. Not a big deal at all.
