Close to where I needed to be
The check in person wasn't friendly. Loud pipes kept waking me up. Breakfast wasn't ready by 6 for me to eat anything but cereal
It was cheap for an easy short stay. Sheets and towels were clean
Breakfast was to go until 10am, but everything was gone by 9:15. Outside door wouldn't open with my room key. Carpets and walls were filthy.
The rooms weren't clean...The service was terrible and the staff was young and immatureWe phoned for over an hour with no answer
Good location, not worth more than we paid.
The second day of our stay there was no service to our room. The bed was not made or the bathroom cleaned. We went for breakfast at 0830, there was little to nothing left by way of food. There was no one at the desk to talk to about the situation.
Its an old not adequately maintained hotel.Room was not upto expectations.
Free wireless Internet.
It was very dirty.
The price was good.
Lots! The wait for service was long. The room given to us was occupied! They gave us another room. It smelled terrible and we refused that one. Woman working desk was unfriendly and angry. No other double rooms available so had two separate single rooms.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable.
The internet was so slow many times, I could not do anything online. Also, the staff does not regularly check their continental breakfast, so customers have to alert them when items are low or out.
I thought the price was reasonable which was honored even though the night clerk could not find the Priceline reservation.
the breakfast room did not seem to be able to handle the crown that showed up including an electric breaker trip that affected the microwave and waffle irons.
Checking out was easy.
They gave me the wrong size bed I paid for. The staff came into my room while I was sleeping even though I had the 'Do not disturb' sign on the door. When I left, I put the 'Please clean my room' sign on and they did not.
No coffee makers in room, shower curtain moldy
It was close to a good restaurant and easy to find.
The phone and alarm clock did not work but the staff came and knocked on our door as a wake up 'call'.
The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable.
Rooms smell and I changed my room for 3 times during the 3 nights we stayed. Previously smoking rooms were turned into non-smoking rooms but smell can't be completely removed.
Housekeeping service only consisted of trading out towels and emptying the waste baskets
Wow, this just gets worse. No breakfast @ 0930 even though advertised until 1000. Still no remote and I woke up with bites all over me. Bed squeeked all nite when i turned. Expanded cable must mean 31 channels without espn in the rooms. Dont lett he nice flat screen tvs in the lobby fool you. Front desk agent says manager tells him new remotes are on order. Now I am an idiot and dont realize you can buy universal remotes at walmart. I had better facilties in the service while stationed in Korea as a jr enlisted. Filthy, horrid facility that is not managed at all.
From the reviews I read, I wasexpecting the worst. However, our room had new carpeting and it smelled clean. They are replacing carpeting in some of the rooms. The halls showed ware and were not pleasing, but, for the price, it eas very acceptable. The
The breakfast was a 'joke'. It had enough to stave off hunger: cold cereal, bread for toast, and juice and coffee. Finding a place to sit took a bit of imagination.
nothing I hated it.
Everything it was dirty the laundry room was broke when I first arrived they gave me the key to somebody else's room by mistake of course but I will never go back.
No remote, fridge didn't work, and smelled really bad.
It was a place to sleep:/
They didn't have our reservation, staff was rude and their so called continental breakfast was never re stocked. We got stuck with toast when we got there at 9 am. There sign said breakfast until 10am.
Room was old and worn.
It smelled..it was dirty, the other people staying there were creepy..we were nervous just being two girls.
The Select Inn is a great location, close to the airport, the university, and several bars. It's clean; parking is ample.
The hotel has seen better days and the rooms need renovation in a bad way.
Proximity to the Airport - right off of the main street without being too close to any noise.
Discovered while i was there that it is an 'extended stay' establishment due to the oil business explosion happening in the Minot area. Some employee's had their kids at work with them. The front desk person the first night was unresponsive & rather rude.
Check in was unfriendly. We were charged twice for our room and it is still unresolved.
Most of the people staying at this place worked for the oil companies. Breakfast was almost non existent and they didn't even open by 6 am so the workers could eat before they left for work. The price was too high and the quality of the motel was poor at best.
My family stayed here for one night and it wasn't bad! We had read some bad reviews about it, but the check-in staff was really nice, the rooms were dated but clean, and it was really quiet. Everything worked, we all got a good nights sleep, and for the price we paid ($* on a Wednesday night) we couldn't complain. We had stayed in the Days Inn Minot the previous trip down and it was pretty comparable. I'd stay again.
Friendly desk clerk. Cheap rates (Minot is expensive as they cash in on the Canadians coming south of the border) Tatty hotel - very shabby. Smelt very heavily of smoke (they have both smoking and non smoking rooms. The bed room was ok but worn. We changed rooms as our first bathroom was disgusting and the bath was full of rust. Cleaning overall is very poor. We have just spent four days in select hotel in Bismarck which we can highly recommend - this hotel - not for the faint hearted.
Felt a little uncomfortable with the cleanliness as there were water spots in the shower. As for some upkeep the toilet seat had something on it that wouldn't come off and there was a hole in the sheet and stains on the box under mattress.
