Extra charge for my two children. This should have been disclosed. Never experienced this charge before.very clean, the women that worked in the breakfast room was pleasant; but as far as the rest of the staff (girl that checked us in & grumpy, old man at desk) they need a hospitality lesson. You are in the public service industry folks...step it up a few notches; especially If you want me to frequent your restaurant next door.(which we did not). Overall opinion...very average.
meThe hotel is privately owned and the owner is very nice and one gets a free breakfast in the morning in the breakfast room located where the office check is but downstairs. We like it and haven't ever had any problem.
The location was perfect for us, since we had a wedding next door.
This was a very basic hotel, it was clean.. not even a tissue box in rooms.
It was quiet. Very quiet.
First, it smelled like smoke. Ugh. We were one of maybe 5 rooms booked during our stay and there wasn't anyone there to answer the front desk in the morning until after 9a. We also did not have all of our complimentary toiletries in the room.Nicely situated in the Watch Hill area but we happened to stay at the most 'off' season moment where it was practically a ghost town, and they didn't provide the staff or service to make our stay what we would expect. Everyone was friendly, and unfortunately apologetic, but we didn't have the room stocked with shampoo, or the exercise room was locked when it should have been available and the 'continental' breakfast had very little to offer. It seems to have been a rough post-Sandy period for this area and this hotel.
Maria one of the owners is a very pleasant women who helped build this hotel and resteraunt from the ground up after coming here from Italy. A very hardworking nice women, she had many stories to share. The hotel is a great value for the money. It is close to Watch Hill as well as many beaches. The property went down to the salt pond. And with the golf course next door, it felt like a nice big yard with areas to play. Bike riding the area was very easy.
The staff was very friendly, and the continental breakfast was very convenient.
they advertised a heated outdoor pool - the pool was covered already and the temperature was in the mid 70's.average
What I expected. It was dated, clean and in good proximity to the beach.
Yes, I supplied Priceline with my family info., 2 adults & 2 children. I opted for 2 queen beds which was $10. more per night . Upon check-in, the staff informed me there was an additional charge of $15.00 per child, per night, or additional $60. plus. This was not the great 'deal' Priceline represented it to be. It was pointed out to me that it said double occupancy on the receipt by the motel staff member at the check in desk. However I supplied all of the accurate information & feel the motel took the opportunity to make a few extra end of season dollars on an unsuspecting tourist. Had I more time, & had not arranged for a party of 5 to also stay there, I would have gone elsewhere even if it were more expensive. I have already had the opportunity to tell a friend & his wife - with one child, to stay else where as there was the chance they would get taken advantage ...
freindly,helpful staff. free beach pass.
outdated. toilet in room 221 needed replacing. lock was broken also in 221. breakfast variety was lacking. it was a starchfest.
cleanliness, location to beach, pool and hot tub. Excellent restaurant right next door.
could use a tv in the continental breakfast roomloved it and will book again next year!
