We loved this hotel. It was relaxing and had clean relaxing rooms and a beautiful courtyard with fountain. It was a great location in the Mission Viejo hills. We hope to return again sometime soon.
Stayed a couple of nights when visiting family in the area. The courtyard is very nice; you'd never know the hotel is near a highway. They have a huge gas firepit there as well for cool evenings. There were plenty of towels available at the pool and I especially liked the energy saving features of everything shutting down when you left your room.
Nice staff and very nice, clean and comfortable accomodations. Will definitely stay here again.
I've stayed previously at the Manhattan Beach location numerous times and also at the Costa Mesa location. If you don't mind the extra drive time I would definitely pick Mission Viejo overall!! Beautiful Location, but most importantly the staff was so friendly and you really just felt comfortable in the whole environment. I would still recommend Manhattan Beach if you need to be closer to Los Angeles. I would not recommend Costa Mesa after experiencing the other two, that place was a big let down.
When I checked in, I expressed frustration over mapquest sending me on a toll road. The person at the desk immediately pulled up alternative directions for where I was going the next day and printed them for me. He took the initiative without my having to ask. The breakfast was outstanding, everything anyone could want - fruit, cereal, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, waffles, muffins and a selection of drinks. Wow! I liked having both a refrigerator with freezer and microwave in the room-nice for chilling sodas and making snacks. The only thing I would change is that my bed and pillows were softer than I prefer but I adjusted and slept well, even the first night.
We really enjoyed our stay @ The Ayres. From the minute we entered we were welcomed by staff. A very warm and inviting lobby. The room was beautiful and spacious. Grounds were beautiful and well manicured. They also had a wonderful complimentary breakfast. We will definitely be returning.
Loved, Loved this place! My husband, toddler daughter and I stayed here for 4 days and wished we could have stayed longer. It was a nice oasis after the busy days of going to theme parks and running around trying to see us much as you can while on vacation. The bed was extremely comfortable, the furnishings new and modern. Our room felt like a small studio flat rather than a hotel room with a separated living area with a flat screen tv and another flat screen near your bed. Breakfast was good with a variety of choices and all the staff we encountered were fantastic. Excellent upper mid-range hotel.
I chose the 'secret' hotel option due to the price and I was very happy with what we got. I would definitely stay there again for the price we paid. The free breakfast was good and the fire pit in the garden was a nice relaxing environment.
Not only are the rooms really nice but the inner courtyard is exceptional.
Comfortable clean hotel, the room furnishings spoil me to the point that I don't want to go home.
