The breakfast was very substancial and delicious. Our hostess was very helpful to us and our friends (who did not actually stay at this hotel) by helping us book another hotel in Neapolis. She was very kind to us throughout the day as we were waiting for the bus and keeping our belongings safe at the hotel for us. Thank you so much for your kindness. Iris Field
We stayed for three nights in April. The location is about perfect: our balcony overlooked the Rock and we were on the best stretch of beach. Plenty of restaurants nearby. This small hotel is run by a happy family. The manager has good English and is most hospitable: she brought us some ouzo on the house as we sat in one of the public rooms (she also offered us coffee). An excellent breakfast with brewed coffee was included in the 60 Euro rate.
Friendly staff, clean room, nice view to the sea
Our room was a bit cold in the first night, but it was March and very windy weather, so it's understandable.
The hotel is extremely clean and well maintained. Our room was very large and was located on the sea-side of the hotel and had a direct view of "the Rock" which contains the old town of Monemvassia. The buffet breakfast (included) was plentiful and varied even though there appeared to be only 5 or so people staying in the hotel. The owner was very kind and helpful to us and gave us a bottle of local wine when we departed.
We selected this hotel based on its location on the map of Monemvassia on the booking.com site, where it is indicated as being in the old town, that is, after the bridge that takes you to the old town. The hotel is in fact in the new town before the bridge. When I returned home I looked again at the booking.com site and only then did I properly read in the overview section that the hotel is in fact located in the new town. The map needs to be changed to reflect the correct location of the hotel.
