I like the friendly staff, great full breakfast had a good variety of food. Indoor swimming pool was a good feature with jacuzzi inside & outside. Nice seating area to relax down stairs in lobby area.
Wifi didn't work properly. Very very slow. Most of time could not connect to Internet. Parking lot was small. Filled up fast had to park on back street.
breakfast was great and staff was great.
it seems like the people were there was a heavy smoker. the room does not smell right.
Staff was awesome! Took great care of us. Breakfast rocks!
Everything was great!
The BBQ dinner was an unexpected treat. We also liked the breakfast which had a lot of choices. The attendant was very friendly and helpful. The color scheme was very earthy and fit the location. We would definitely return to this location!
It was difficult to see how to enter the parking lot from the road, could use better signage.
Plenty of variety at the well-stocked breakfast; plenty of tables & seating in the lobby area; hard-working, friendly, & polite staff; very good wifi connection; relatively quiet hotel except when a child runs down the hallway.
Mattress was comfortable, but lacked good back support.
Convenient to our destination.
Parking and getting off the road to the location is somewhat confusng (through a Safeway parking lot our across a 'weird' intersection.
We've stayed at this hotel many times, and find the staff friendly, the rooms clean, the ambiance good in the public areas, with the warmth of the fireplace when there in cold weather; treats for your enjoyment, etc.
very clean and a comfortable bed
the 'store' did not have any desserts, and no atm inside
The rooms were clean ,the pool was amazing ,I'm pretty sure they use salt instead of chlorine( whoop) and the beds were wonderful .
I stay at this hotel for business several times a year. It's a comfortable hotel that has been newly renovated. The best place to stay in Montrose.
We have used this hotel for five different visits. We enjoy our stay here.
rooms were clean and common areas were warm, welcoming and clean
Hotel description says it is 'pet friendly' and pets are allowed. When I checked in, I was told I had to prearrange a pet room when reserving and that I would have to pay an addtl $20 per night. Would have been nice to know up front.
The breakfast in the morning was the only good part of the stay.
This was the worst stay in a hotel I have ever have. The bathroom was dirty, ythe internet did not work and the noise was really bad.
Nicely renovated rooms and public areas; fireplace in lobby.
No pay movies in rooms.
Cheap compared to Ouray.
Room across from VERY noisy ice machine. Wi-fi was poor.
Hotel is either new or recently updated. The rooms were really nice and breakfast was also better than expected.
There seemed to be no noise insulation. I could hear the people above us, next to us, and out in the hallway. Also, the air conditioner/heater is noisy. The outdoor hot tub is tiny and looked like they didn't clean it.
On our most recent visit, we came to this property on very short notice and counted ourselves lucky to find a room here. As has been the case on other visits, the property was well-maintained and attractive. Front-desk staff were very helpful. We prefer this location to any other in town, and always enjoy our stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable; the king suites are especially nice - more like a small apartment than a typical hotel suite. My only quibble: I returned to the hotel one night after 3AM and found the front desk unattended. Yes, this is a sleepy little Western Slope town with a rock-bottom crime rate, but still . . . if the door's wide open, someone should be watching who walks in.
clean and nice, good breakfast, would stay again.
This was a really nice hotel with a friendly and efficient staff. Despite the fact that I arrived with a travel group of over 100 people, I was treated well and processed efficiently, I found the rooms standard in decor and amenties but clean and well maintained. This hotel is well-positioned for seeing the surrounding area of Colorado. It is close to reasonable restaurants and retail stores.
We have stayed at The Holiday Inn Express three times this summer - and all of our stays have been enjoyable. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful (ex. flyers for restaurant recommendations, calling maintenance to adjust the lock on our door). The fitness center has a nice variety of equipment and is only accessible by key. The pool and indoor hot tub are very nice! Beds are comfortable, good counter space around sink, and the rooms are quiet. We will always stay there when visiting the area.
The holiday Inn Express was very nice. It was clean. The beds were comfortable. The room was nice. The shower was fantastic. It had little cubby holes for your soaps and shower stuff. The towels could have been a little softer.
