Before becoming a hotel orignally this 17th century building was a pharmacy. In 1935 it had a devastating fire that almost destroyed the property and a few years later in 1940; the 4 star Hotel Alameda was opened with what was considered a very modern style at that time. Now respecting its architecture and keeping most of the detail and works of art; the hotel has the advantages expected of a modern hotel and provides a luxury service.
