The rooms were about what you'd expect for a Holiday Inn.
The room was not well cleaned. Among other things, I found that a previous guest had dropped a Milk Dud on the floor, which the cleaning staff had missed.
This is an older style Holiday Inn with a large atrium. It is close to the freeway, has a large parking lot, and a large portico (the cover protected us from precipitation while we unloaded the car). First impression of the lobby is pleasant, we were walking in from a blizzard - a blazing fireplace and comfortable chairs made for a welcome arrival. There is a large quantity of luggage carts and the elevators are high speed. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
Blizzard conditions drove us off the road for the night. When it began to snow we made an on line reservation for a king bed room. When we arrived we had to wait because, "it is shift change". We arrived at our room to find two full size beds. My wife called the front desk and explained that we had a king bed room reserved - the answer was, "it is shift change and we just gave away our last king bed room". My wife explained that we have a confirmed reservation for a king bed room - so, pull a room out-of-reserve. The night manager took over the phone conversation and explained, "it is shift change and I cannot see what rooms are available". He had our luggage moved to a king room - and the rest of the stay was pleasant.
