Uepi Island is located on Marovo Lagoon in the Western Province of the Solomon Islands.The resort specializes in personalized holidays & is suitable for soft & advanced adventure travelers of all ages.From Honiara, the capital of the Solomon Islands, visitors to Uepi travel by light plane (60 minute flight) to Seghe on the South East tip of New Georgia. On arrival at Seghe, visitors will be met by Uepi staff & transported across Marovo Lagoon. Be prepared for the chance of getting a little wet from spray on the way to the island. Uepi Resort is situated among cultivated gardens at the eastern end of the 2.5km long island. The remainder of the island is covered with pristine jungle.Uepi offers 6 bungalows, privately spaced in jungle gardens, 4 of which are absolute beachfront. 2 units & 2 guest rooms offering views of the Marovo Lagoon. All rooms have private facilities, are fan cooled & located within walking distance from the sandy beaches & fringing reef areas. With 10 rooms in total, the maximum number of beds is 32, however 20 guests is considered a full house.All meals are included in the daily tariff & are based around fresh local seafood & organically grown fruits and vegetables, prepared by talented local chefs.The world class house reef is only minutes from the accommodation, allowing unlimited free snorkeling. Scuba diving is fully catered for with SSI resort to Dive Master Courses available, as well as shore, boat, expedition & night diving sites.Kayak Solomons operates expeditions & casual sea kayaking trips from Uepi Resort throughout the Marovo Lagoon. Other activities include cultural trips to nearby villages, fishing, sailing, kite boarding (in season), bushwalking or just relaxing.
