Location is awesome, walking distance to everything in the French quarter
Was very disappointed when I ended up with the flu the day before arrival. If I had been hotel shopping I would have canceled before so I would not have been charged $. Flu is rampant in Tx and had a legitimate cancel reason but still got charged.
hotel has great location on chartes and st philip.. a block from royal st. two blocks from river.. nice patio, outdoor pool, wi-fi, valet parking
the walls are thin between rooms and/or french door windows so you can hear neighbors and unless you have a back room by pool, you have curtained single-pane window right on st philip, less a problem but it's a security issuei really enjoyed hotel chateau primarily for its location on chartes and st. philip.. quiet area in back end of quarter.. a block from royal st and community coffee, a couple of blocks from jackson square and cafe du monde. about 5 blocks from frenchman in the marigny. hotel has valet parking for car the owners and staff are friendly.. somewhat of a feel of bed and breakfast.. hotel nice decorated for the holiday season.. and fixed problems as they occur. free coffee, hot chocolate, fruit in the morning as requested to the room. room has refrigerator to keep food cold when we want...
The room was a tiny. No.privacy for.the room which sites right aganist the street. Some rooms have No windows!Stay here if you never been to the big easy and your stay is going to ,,be less than 3 days. The rooms are very old ,dirty ans small. The location is awesome
The suite was large and spacious, the location was excellent.
We only had one set of keys for the suite. The staff said that was all we could have because other guest had left with keys. We did not get the free breakfast promised on the first day.Location was great, suite was nice and spacious. Although it was in the French Quarter the street was relatively quiet compared to staying on Bourbon Street.
The location was great, right in the middle of everything. The staff was also pretty great, very helpful.
The breakfast brought to your room was a nice touch but the selection was good at all and the juices were brought warm, didnt drink them and the coffee was brought cold. All in all the hotel was nice. The location was great, in the middle of everything. The staff was great ,very helpful. We loved the balcony room and were glad we werent bothered all night by street noise. Just wish the breakfast had been better. We went to eat out for breakfast every morning.
I loved the courtyard with the pool, room service breakfast that was included, and the location was perfect. Walking distance to so many main attractions.
The air was either on or off, and it was pretty old. But not much to complain about. If you are looking for a great experience in NOLA, I think getting a hotel in the French Quarters gives you the best feel for the environment. Bourbon street was a few blocks away, Cafe Dumonde was also a few blocks away, and there was wonderful restaurants all around us. Chateau Hotel is very comfy, and the price is so reasonable for the location. Not to mention the friendly and helpful staff. This hotel in my opinion is a gem. Not high end, however it fits for a weekend getaway.
the room was quaint and close to everything we wanted to see
They tried to charge us for extra people in our room because we met up with friends in the lobby to go to dinner, but after a quick clarification it worked out just fine.the room was beautiful and the staff was very helpful
The location was awesome!!! Close to a market and Bourbon street but far enough away so that it was quite at night. Loved the bed and pillows.
The breakfast wasn't great but the famous cafe du monde was just a few blocks away and that is a must for anyone visiting New Orleans. It was a beautiful hotel, the staff interacted with the guest which I loved, I hate going places and it seems like the staff are afraid to talk to you. I'm already looking at going back and I would loved to stay at this hotel again
