Location, price, and helpful staff.
It was very cold in the bathrooms. The trip was a pleasure trip for me and my adult son.
there has children's extra bed.
there is no washroom in the room and it is expensive. there has also no breakfast.just so so
Location, price, staff was friendlyThis hotel/hostel was exactly what we expected it to be. We need a place to crash after running around NYC all day! It was about xxx cheaper than anything else so we were happy about the price. If you expect a four star hotel this isn't it, but if you are happy to stay in dorm like conditions to save some major bucks this is the place for you. The staff was very kind and helpful. No complaints, super easy to hope on the subway, nice neighborhood, lots of food options nearby
The bed looked like the exsorsist had laid on it. The sheets were stained and the tub had some bugs. The bathroom wall had a hole and the elevator was extremely slow.Do not stay here! I got the run around from the staff when I demanded a full refund within 5 minutes of seeing the room. I was lied to and the manager was MIA.
A lot !! False advertise about the free parking... There is no free parking. We have to look for free parking in the streets. Elevators is very small. Only 3 ppl maximum occupancy. It actually broke down around 11:00 am , the time when we had to check outI do not recommend. Shared bathroom. No easy parking.elevator too small. Usually not working.
Location- not many options on the upper west side in New York.
This is a hostel not a hotel. Several things to dislike...See review...I require four main things in my hotel stays- 1. It is clean. 2. It has a decent bed and pillows. 3. There is a decent toilet and there is Hot Water to take a shower and shave. 4. The TV works. 1- the room was fairly clean except the carpet. 2- the bed was decent. 3- Hot Water ran out quickly and wasn't very hot in the first place. There was no Toilet paper holder or dispenser in the bathroom...just a loose roll. Very Classy. 4- Cable or satellite was out- so TV got only four channels- two foreign, PBS and the Shopping Network. I watched weather in Spanish, but I don't speak or read Spanish. The worst thing was the total absence of any towel hooks or towel bars in the tiny bath room. Not a single place to hang a wet towel anywhere in the place. I've never seen that. Good Grief, Spend $1 and put a hook on the...
The staff was incredibly helpful and happy to do their job! I'm terrible w/ names, but the young male night desk agent (FRI) was extremely helpful.
The place is old and it shows. The mattress needed to be replaced, saggy and not supportive. The water temp and pressure in the shower was constantly changing. Slowest elevator ever.Older property for a decent price. Quiet neighborhood 3 blocks from 1 subway line. This is a mostly residential neighborhood. Not a great selection of nearby restaurants nor nightlife. For a hostel the place quieted down by midnight, good night sleep. The desk staff is very knowledgable and helpful, eager to provide good service! This place is a decent value for the budget traveler who wants more than the time square experience in NYC.
Price was good for NYC, also close to subway station.
It said free parking was nearby...what they should have said was you can park on the street if you can find a spot. There is a parking lot for $36 a day within a block walk, which was fine. The advertizing for free parking nearby is pushing it.Kitchy place. Clean. Friendly staff.
It was more that I expected but a hostel nonetheless. That being said, it was a more of a hostel than a hotel but for NYC what a deal and extreme friendly, attentive, and courteous staff. The staff made the experience more pleasurable.
It was facing Broadway - busy and loud - and a bit cold but, again, it is a hostel. 10/10 for a hostel but 6/10 for a Hotel. The nicest Hostel I have ever been to by far
