The Hotel Carter, at 250 West 43rd Street, offers affordable accommodation in Midtown Manhattan. From its bright marquee welcoming guests to Times Square, the hotel rises 24 stories as a classic New York stepped skyscraper. Designed by famed New York architect Emery Roth, it originally opened in 1930 as the Dixie Hotel. Famous patrons have included Patsy Cline and American magician Harry Blackstone. Many of the Hotel Carter's rooms have views directly onto Times Square, and guests can watch the famous New Year's Ball Drop from the hotel.
