staff very helpful
elevators out of svce at times
Great room. Clean. Comfy bed.
Clean room, very nice cleaning staff. Front desk people pretty ho hum .
Slow elevators during peak times. Not all elevators working. Kept stopping at floors for people with override keys. Very expensive hotel overall, hotel ( hotel rate), food ($4.50 for a cup of tea at the cafe on the main floor & you have to make it yourself!)
Great position for tourists sights. Direct access to to the subway and Grand Central Terminist and food hall.
We had to keep our blackout shades completely closed for privacy as our window was so close to the other hotel windows due to the horseshoe shape. It was unpleasant to never see the light of day. They could have had some sheer curtains along with the blackout shades to use to allow some light while still providing some privacy during the day.
cleanliness, staff courtesy, friendly smiles
I have never used kayak before this visit to NYC but I was very pleased with the surface they provided us. The Gran Hyatt was a good choice for us and we enjoyed our stay very much. I would highly recommend it for a family stay. The location was good,, the facilities were good and the service was good. I would stay there again if I am in NYC.
Great location, large comfortable room, helpful and friendly staff. Great value.
Dated rooms. Floors were wearing out. Bad customer service. Cafe downstairs sold stale food. Cant believe GRAND HYATT would allow a cafe like this which actually sold stale food.
Modern big city atmosphere, did not take full advantage of hotel due to first time trip to NYC so didn't stay at hotel. All staff was great, especially Emalee in Reception.
I liked how big my room was I had every intention of booking a king but could only get a queen. Upon arrival I was upgraded to a king room. The room overall was very clean, I'm a huge fan of big beds and the bathroom was nice as well. Next time I'm in NYC I will definitely book a room here.
This was my first time to New York and what a way to visit! This hotel is centrally located, so it made it very easy to get around. The room was spacious and comfortable. You don't have to get out of bed to change the temperature, which was soooo nice.
The only thing I didn't like was that they charged for Wi-Fi. This policy is changing mid-February, right after my trip, so that is good for future visitors.
Modern Nice store for food coffee Comfy beds Location
Stains on couch and wall No free access to gym Lineups for checkin and out were unacceptable
