The hotel was fine. However, there was a murder in the hotel the night we were their. Apparently a pimp was murdered several floors up. It was all over the NYC news.
ALL of your front desk staff could use better training in professionalism and courtesy.
Easy check in and out. Validate for parking nearby. Check with parking garage.
Small rooms but typical for NYC hotels
I have stayed here numerous times throughout various trips. All the staff members of the hotel are very nice, helpful, and show they care about you. Cleaning staff is very very nice, front desk is amazing. They have a great breakfast staff as well. The hotel is right next to a subway station, but you don't see the lingering subway station people. If you get a city view it is wonderful. Very centralized to NYC. You are close enough to Time Square with shops close.
Small rooms, but it is NYC you can't expect much more. If that is the only negative thing about your stay then you have no worries!
Insomma davvero buono. Price. Location. Modern. Clean.
Small. Old. Slow checkin.
Friendly staff went out of their way to make our late valentine's day getaway special, moved me and my girlfriend to a higher floor, and gave us a box of chocolates and a card. Room was extremely clean, a little small, but nice nonetheless. I will definitely stay again!
Room was a little small, but the cleanliness absolutely made up for it!
I arrived on Amtrak, and picked this hotel for its proximity to Penn Station. A very easy walk, even with luggage. Happily, the hotel is also a few feet from the 34th St/Herald Square MTA station. My room was spacious and quiet, which is not something I can normally say about New York. First time I haven't had to wear earplugs to sleep in Manhattan. Breakfast buffet was a bit overpriced at $20, but it's New York, and the convenience factor was worth it. A refreshing, pleasant surprise overall.
Location was the best, comfort and cleanliness were very good. The breakfast buffet was good, it had a nice variety and all you can eat but the $20 price tag was a little steep.
Be careful if you book through Kayak or Booking.com about the cost of parking. One of the main reasons I choose the Hilton Garden was for what I thought was parking included in the price of the room. When I searched for hotels with parking, I assumed parking was included not just available. Assumed wrong and cost me and additional $80 for overnight parking. Needless to say when I checked into the hotel I was ticked off about it, but the staff handled it professionally enough as to not make matters worse. Lesson learned don't assume that anything is included unless it says free or included in price.
staff were great, from the moment you walked in, front desk and concierge. The gentleman at Security who took care of my bags when I checked out was awesome. Am sorry I did not get there names. location great, room nice.
Parking but that's New York, I had an early morning meeting and had to return to the hotel after and got charged the second fee.
Friendly staff, room was ready before 3:00 check-in time, very clean room and hotel.
window only had a think curtain, could have used a second layer or ticker curtain for privacy and to block out light from outside.
The location was great. The staff was friendly. The room was a nice size and very clean.
Had to park in garage around the corner. There should be a discount on parking if you are staying in the Hotel.
