Location and price
Checking in at 5:00 PM was delayed by an hour. Using valet took over an hour to get the car
Rooms were gross, carpet needs to be cleaned, there were dust balls in the room
The staff was excellent. The lobby is gorgeous and I love the fruit infused water there. They gave me a free upgrade and the view was stunning as well as the lighting design, environmental graphics - comfort of pillows and bed, shower... Made my visit special and I was able to leave my suitcase while I walked around.
The room was fairly large for NYC. Contemporary decor in an old hotel. Great location for Penn Station/Amtrak.
Shower was TINY, and bathroom had little space for touletries. Air conditioning was loud , but helped to block out the constant horn blowing most of the night. Make sure to get a room away from the street!
Check was supposed to be 3- then got Ana ail saying it was 4- waited and didn't get in the room until 4:40- staff seemed like they were making up story as to why we didn't have our room. Got to the room- remote didn't work and no shower gel in shower- oh well... There are worse things!
Everything I don't know if it was a bad experience but they were rude the rooms smelled they upgraded me and it was even worse the smell
We booked the hotel last minute since we had to come to NY for an audition the following day. We've stayed in a few hotels in the area and for the price this was by far the best. Food was great, service was exceptional. Staff was friendly. The room was very comfortable. I would recommend it!
My boyfriend took a shower with the door open and if set off the Fire alarm in the bedroom for a solid 5 minutes before someone could come deactivate it. When they came to deactivate it they said "did you have the bathroom door open when you were showering?" so clearly it's been a problem before.
Location is top notch. Rooms are decent for nyc standards. And the restaurant is good as well as decently priced.
The hotel doorman is best described as a thug. Shouting at people, demanding tips, and acting outrageously aggressive. On my last day, he got into a shoving match with my car driver! The man is a time bomb
Large comfortable room, amazing bed, close to all the great sights of new york
slightly tired looking carpet and bathroom, a bath would have been nice
Spacious room with kitchen, staff very friendly
Room heating not controllable --> too hot for comfort, small bed (no way that's king size), very noisy, outdated interior, bathroom bit grubby, door had blood stains on it
Very large and spacious. Great deal for the price!
A very central location, within walking distance of major attractions, landmarks, shopping all the transportation options at Penn Station.
My room was clean and the location was good.
I was surprised to be given a handicapped accessible room when I didn't need or ask for one. Two different hotel staff tried to gain access to my room twice within a half hour after I arrived, and another began cleaning my room the next morning before I had checked out.
Location of Hotel and comfort of room
The beds were very comfortable. Good restaurant, serving fantastic food.
courtesy of the staff - good location, outside Madison Square Garden.
The staff was great.
It lacks personality.
