Location... View was the best.
Room was dated. Fridge was broke. Pool looked skungey.
iT WAS SHABBY AND RUN DOWN. WHO'S THE SLUMB LORD THAT OWNS IT? THERE'S SO MUCH DEFERRED MAINTENANCE THAT IT WOULD TAKE A CREW OF HANDIMEN MONTHS TO PUT IT BACK INTO GOOD SHAPE!
Loved the view. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Linens were fresh and crisp. The shower had excellent pressure.
View was slightly marred by another building. The room had a definite slope to one side. Entering the bathroom was like the Twilight Zone. The beds were saggy. The shower curtain was old and the threads were pulled. The only way down to the beach was 84 stairs. Being disabled, the beach at this motel was inaccessible. Only french roast coffee.
The ocean view and closeness to Nye beach area was nice.
This hotel is run down and needs to be updated. There were kids running all over the room above us both nights. The room window openings are too small to let in any air and it gets very hot in the afternoons. Won't go back.
Nothing. Our ocean view was obscured by the dark and dirty roof of the building below.
We were obviously given the oldest building of the group. Very small, dank, the sheets felt damp, the whole room was dirty, including the fan which had lint and hair blowing out of it. NO AIR CONDITIONING! I purposely re booked with Shilo Inn to have a pool for my daughter and upped my price about 60 dollars and was SORELY dissapointed. I will never stay here again. Gross gross gross.
They were very friendly and accommodating
The restaurant was a little pricey
The view was amazing!!!!!!!!!!! A dream come true and something to knock off my bucket list!
The windows didn't open enough to enjoy the sound of the ocean.
So close to the beach! Every room has a view of the ocean
Bathroom had several long hairs that could easily been seen. Wish it was a little cleaner but overall a good stay.
It was a quiet December weekend, and it was nice to be able to wake up to the ocean. The staff was nice, the food in the cafe was good, the room seemed clean despite it being a dogs okay room.
The parking lot is very steep for one of the buildings. We bottomed out going down the entrance and coming up the exit. Also, the bed was hard as a rock. Literally. A rock.
Beds were hard. Couldn't open windows all the way.
The beach proximity was good, the desk staff were helpful. Nice views.
The room was in their older building (of three) and their amenities were subpar. No a/c in the rooms, and a hefty walk uphill to access their few amenities and the street.
We had an awesome ocean view! In addition, there were many restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance of the hotel.
Please be aware that, contrary to Kayak's description, this hotel does not have air conditioning. However, we were there in July and didn't really need it - the breeze off the sea cooled the room down nicely. Unfortunately the windows don't have screens on them, so there is a potential for bugs.
Being close to the beach was nice.
The room was very small, made it quite uncomfortable. No a/c, outdated electronics and facilities. Definitely did not get my money's worth.
