The Park Lane, which provides a sweet alternative to the hub-bub of Boston, is conveniently nestled in the quiet tree-lined streets of Newton, a lovely suburb just West of the city. This large Baronial style stucco, is a quick 7-10 minute walk to the MBTA stop. Convenient and accessible, the "T" (our light rail system) gets you to the heart of Boston in just 20 minutes. There you can meander around easily by foot to visit our new Aquarium, Museum of Fine Arts, the Children's Science Museums, not to mention Fanueil Hall/Quincy Market, the USS Constitution, Beacon Hill and many other historical, amusement and athletic sights. Dine both in Boston and Newton at a variety of American and Ethnic restaurants before you take in a show or the symphony. Jim, a life-long resident (and bicyclist), well- versed on the area, will gladly assist your travel needs and can provide access to rental cars. Two very private guest rooms on the third level are furnished with antiques, share a bath and a hall skylight. A second level third room with private whirlpool bath, queen bed, dressing room and many other amenities, provides a quiet view through the trees. Guests can relax on the lovely front porch (weather permitting). Reservations are required and must be reserved by a credit card.
