Will start with the room. We upgraded to a suite. The room was really good with one exception. The a/c constantly made a loud noise, other than that really good. Food was very good in all areas except the snack bar. Out of onion rings for 4 days, out of ice cream for 2 days, soda machine down 1 day, chicken nuggets were spoiled. My wife has sensitive teeth so she always uses a straw...snack bar was out of straws every day we were there and 2 of the bars were out 2 days. The other rests. were very good and the returning guest dinner was very good. Was there 7 days and did not see the activity director except when she was in her office. Asks 2 other couples if they had seen her and they said no. I asks the housekeeper for sugar in the room for my coffee because they hadn't replaced what I had used and tipped her $20.00,,,she looked at it and her expression was is that all? I almost grabbed it back out of her hand. At the bar the bartenders were tough unless you tipped them. I sat back and watched how they were treating guest and you could see the ones that were tipping got very good service and the ones that didn't tip got ignored....(and this is at a no tipping allowed resort...LOL) We went to Sans soucci one day and it was totally opposite...staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I sent a email to the resort while I was there and another one on the last day I was there....NO RESPONSE....CTI just does not care about service like their other resorts do...If you want excellent service and a great time go to Couples NEGRIL....my stay was 12-july through 19 july
The activity staff was great during the daytime activities. I feel the service and food selections have gone down in quality since our last visit in 2010 and the nightime activities need a little more diversity, but was a good overall experience. They need to have the Wednesday night Piano player (the english guy) there permanetly...the other 2 needed help and we wound up walking out but stayed the entire night when John was there.
This resort was suppose to have been through a big renovation. They painted. Wires hanging out of light fixtures in entry to hotel. They don't pay attention to detail. Blow dryer worked only half the time very loose on wall mount.
This is my second time to Jamaica. My first trip was to a Sandals resort which I enjoyed, but the Couples Tower Isle was beyond wonderful. I was worried about what it would be like to be in Jamaica during Christmas, but it was delightful. The staff was wonderful. Simone, Cadee, Taneshia, Daniel, Miguel, Garicia, Terry, Edmoth, Asha, Oshane, Odane, Romaine(both of them), and everyone else who works there did such a great job making us feel welcome. Our bags were lost by the airline and the resort gave us shirts so we would have a change of clothes and did all of the footwork to get our bags delivered to us the next day. The food was phenomenal. They went all out for taste and presentation. The food was the best I have had in either of my trips. We did almost everything there was to do at the resort including snorkeling 3 times, the catamaran, Dunns River Falls, and tennis. Horseback riding is not included any longer, but our 7 nights/8 days trip was jam packed with activities when we weren't in the mood to just relax so it didn't bother us. The nighttime is not a big party, but the piano bar is fun for those of use who stayed up. They have entertainment every night, and the drinks flowed easily all day. I do think they might water the drinks, but you can get shots, frozen drinks, mixed drinks, or beer so you can make up for it. The pool was slightly cold, but it was nice when the sun is out and it is warm. I thought the bed was hard until I slept on it. I slept great. No matter whether you eat at one of the restaurants that you have to make a resrvt for, the buffet, or the veranda every dinner is treated as if you are at a fine dining restaurant. Eco-friendly they give you keepsake water bottles to refill instead of disposable water bottles. Would go again today if I could. I will be back!
I have been to another couples resort and I expected nothing but the best. That's exactly what we received when visiting Couples Tower Isle. The only thing I need to gripe about is that not enough people joined in on the festivities at night time; but that could be because most of the visitors were 50 and older. Other than that it was a very lovely resort. Food and were great. Kaye at the guest service desk was the best, she made sure we had everything we needed. Simone at the pool bar was the best bartender.
We recently stayed at CTI for our honeymoon and had an amazing and relaxing stay. It was everything that we were looking for in our trip and cannot wait to go back in the future! The staff blew me away with how friendly and helpful they were and always had smiles on their faces. Between the friendly staff, the great spa and all of the included activities and excursions this trip was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and wonderful experience :)
This was our second trip to Couples Tower Isle and after 10 years the resort is still fantastic! We upgraded to the Junior Suite and will probably never be able to stay in a normal room again...the view and comfort level were awesome and the balcony was our favorite spot to relax. You can sit on the beach all day and keep to yourselves, but you will meet the best people on the island! The staff at this resort are top-notch, friendly, very helpful and accommodating. The new mini-fridges in the rooms are really nice and we loved the souvenir water bottles. You can't beat the inclusions at this resort anywhere else as far as we're concerned - everything from top shelf liquors to scuba are included at no cost. There is really no reason to carry any money with you unless you want to purchase from the private vendor who comes there...everything else is either included or can be charged to your room (spa & gift shop) and tipping is not allowed for resort staff. The Wi-Fi was not accessible from the junior suites, but that kept us from being distracted and we could access it from the main lobby areas and several of the restaurant and bar areas whenever we needed it, including to FaceTime with the kids back home. We will be back again!
Absolutely wonderful resort. Everything is close but still lots to do. You can see the beach no matter where you are on the resort, and the employees are eager to please you. The food is amazing and there is a large selection since they change the menu's about every three days. Have been to other resorts where the buffet is not good, and even the buffet was tasty at this place. The free excursions that the hotel offers saves a lot of money and adds a lot of fun to the vacation. We have been to a few all inclusives, and this is the only one we would return to. We are picky people but have nothing to complain about with this resort.
Second time to a couples, first time to Tower Isle. As expected, everything was wonderful, including the food, views, staff, and inclusions. Make sure you very book early to get the best rate.
Although the hotel is old compared to many of the hotels we have vacationed at, the staff manages to keep it looking clean and tidy. Food and drinks were very good with top shelf liquor available if requested. Bayside and Eight River Restaurants were excellent. Many activities included, far and away more than you usually get or expect. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Always smiling and asking if there is anything they can do. Will definitely return in the future.
This was our first trip out of the country and we had been worried about anything and everything that could go wrong. When we arrived in Montego Bay and went to check in with Couples our reservation was not showing with them. All I had to do was hand them a copy of my confirmation number and they had it fixed in no time. The room we requested was no longer available due to the mix up, but the upgraded us to a suite to make up for it. The staff was great from the time we arrived to the time we left. Everyone was always dancing around and trying to find a way to make you smile. Also the food is excellent, I didn't find anything that I didn't love. We are already planning on when we can return.
My husband and I went to CTI with another couple for a great getaway vacation. We loved it and would go back. We didn't know what to expect, but the resort came highly recommended by another couple that had stayed there. From the moment we stepped off the bus, the staff was helpful and all smiles. The room was simple, but we really didn't spend all that much time in it. It had everything we needed. The restaurants had great food. We ate at the Pool Grill everyday for lunch. We loved the nachos and ice cream. It was easy and convenient. The buffets were also great. We are usually picky eaters, but were able to find something that we both liked and never went away hungry. The pools were a little cold, but they were great for cooling off from the hot sun. The beach was clean and the sea was beautiful.!!!! My advice to anyone that goes in the future..wake up early to put some towels or magazines down on the beach chairs that you want for the day, because the good ones go fast!!!! Drinks were bottomless and the Martini bar that they put on was amazing. Take time to do the included Dunn's River falls and catamaran cruise. The snorkeling was great too. For an all-inclusive resort, they really do include a lot of stuff and always have an agenda for the day so guests can plan their stay out. Some people may get leary about the 'au natural' beach. It is far away enough from the regular beach that its not a disturbance. Its actually rather intruiging to see so many people willing to go and try it. We normally wouldn't do something like that, but had a blast stepping out of our 'comfort zone' for the little bit we were there, just to say we did it. It's vacation..why not? All in all, its a great resort to go to if you just wanna go to relax. There's no huge party scene that can get out of hand. There's no access to the beach so that locals can't come to try and sell their 'goods'. The room service and maid service was great. It was nice to leave the room for the day and come ba...
The PROS: private beach (no peddlers, quiet) free trip to Dunn's River Falls (a must do) horseback, other included excursions The CONS: super loud until late at night, bed gave me a backache like I've never had before, food is slightly better than just ok. No elevators. intermittent internet. Not worth what we paid for. Next time I feel like visiting Jamaica, I will not be staying here again.
The resort was beautiful. Our room wasvery nice. The food was alright. There was always jerk chicken. Found out I don't like Asian food. Not into fancy food with all the sauces. We are picky eaters. Pools were to cold (believe it or not).
