My stay at the Residence Suites was most comfortable and pleasant. I loved the traditional cicladic style of the houses. Caves are furnished simply but elegant and a great part of the comfort is provided by the staff who cant do more to make one happy. Excellent service! The location, most important- in Oia village. Shoots that I took can beat and compete with the post cards, and I am not a professional. The steps everyone talks about make the difference and the charm! Santorini is magnificent and the Greek food its like a good novel.
The view was fantastic! The loft was spacious, it was like having your own little cave house.
The cave walls of the loft made the room extremely cold at night.
It has a good envirement with a nice seashore view and warm hearted residence in the small town of Santorini island, Greece.
There are some small insects on the bed mattress, such as small black ants, small spiders, green-flies, which really caused our worry and sometime sleepless in the night.
The fantastic atmosphere, authentic design and convenient location
Transfer did not turn up as organised
Lovely location, with a gorgeous view of the caldera. Diana (at the tourism information centre at the bus stop) was extremely helpful - with the booking as well as with general sightseeing tips and suggestions.
Slightly hard to locate on your own the first few times. The first night there, we spent almost an hour trying to find the room in the maze of tiny paths.
The location is all that was appealing, unfortunately.
The room was dirty, there was a fridge but no water supplied, tea and coffee facilities but no tea and coffee. Breakfast was disappointing. 4 star prices for 2 star accomodation.
Staff were very helpful. All transfers were on time. The view was fantastic.
The bed was up a ladder on a landing. For people in their fifties this was initially a challenge but we became used to it.
We were very disappointed with our room. The weather was cold and rainy so we turned on the heat in our room. Each time we turned on the heat, the circuit breaker flipped off all the power. This happened several times during the evening. We talked to reception and they sent someone to show us how to reset the breaker. In the morning we used the hair dryer which was provided and again the circuit breaker flipped off all the power. We were unable to reset this time. We walked to reception with wet hair and requested a new room. We were told there was no room available.
