The tv and shower
The room that was initially given to us was someone else's room I walked in and the room was a mess with a person in the bed. I went and reported it to the front desk they looked at me as if I was crazy no apologies gave me the room next door. Couch was filthy bed was hard and no trashcans in the room.
Couldn't beat the price for a 2 bedroom for the night.
I wasn't convinced that the sheets had been cleaned properly before they were put on our beds. I stayed in a no-smoking room but there was a cigarette burn in our sheets. The overall cleanliness of this hotel was mediocre. I wasn't impressed, but then again, I wasn't looking to spend much money on my stay.
Beds were comfortable
Pool an hot tub were closed and looked like they had been for awhile with no progress, fire exit doors were blocked off by pallets no allowing customers to exit in case of emergency, mold on ceilings in bathroom, hotel rooms smelled unpleasant, public bathrooms were out of service. Just all around disappointment.
The room was a nice size. The morning front deak worker was friendly.
The pool was "under construction" yet it looked fine to me. The weight room was not even remotely close to the pictuees it shows. The bar/lounge and restaurant soea not even exist. The breakfast was very poor. I was so tired of eating toast by the last morning. The night front desk worker always looked angry and when we asked about the bar, he just gave us a look as if we were stupid. They must have sprayed for bugs bexause there were a lot of dead ants on the wall in our bathroom. Also if you have sensitive skin to certain fabric softeners or detergents, then be careful. I broke outnkn a rash from laying in the sheets.
It was located in a nice area, that is about all the good I can say.
I am ok with some issues in a hotel but Carol hotel had a LOT of issues and rude staff on top of it. Our bathroom door was falling apart, there was duct tape on the floor, beds where old, blankets where falling apart. We asked one day for no room service and the maid knocked anyway and kept asking us if we had paid (we had). Pool was down for the entire stay (with three kids that is why we picked this hotel) and the staff was rude each day when we asked for an update. They just kept saying "The pool will not open today" and when I asked if they had any idea when it would open they would just repeat that it would not be open today. I believe we where supposed to have continental breakfast but I didn't see it. This is a big hotel with 6 stories and our entire stay there where only something like 6 other guests. The day we arrived there where NO vehicles in the parking lot and that scared me since I thought the hotel had gone out of business. I expect this hotel to be out of business before we visit Omaha again. The funniest part is they have clocks for all four time zones in their lobby and no two clocks had their minute hands in the same place, not even close! I took a picture and will be sharing it around Facebook. It's a shame, Omaha is a great city, our hotel just sucked.
Great price for the area.
It just felt a bit odd and looked like they were making improvements.
