Clean and spacious house. TV in every bedroom. Not too far from all local attractions (about half hour from Disney and Universal Studios)
Noisy neighbour. Fake security guard (same shadow behind window every night we drove by the gate!) Cleaning fee (because we stayed only 4 nights). No one informed us the office was moved until we got there.
Rented a 4 bedroom home with 2 master suites...what a joke. Not one room had a king size bed, no mixing bowls, the tv in main room didn't operate because it was not hooked up so we couldn't watch tv except on 19 inch in bedroom. They are suppose to give you the address and code when you contact them 24 hours in advance, I had to postpone my trip by hours because I could not get the information as to where I was staying. It finally came 6 phone calls, 3 e-mails later which was 5 minutes before giving up and ready to walk out the door and just make calls on the road to different hotels. We also had to pay a very high cleaning fee for a home that was not clean. You could stick to the kitchen floor where the table was and the batteries in the carbon monoxide detector were low so it beeped every few seconds, very annoying when trying to sleep, that had to be disabled. I can only equate this to a bad Travel Lodge experience at a much higher price.
This vacation house was awesome! We didn't want to leave. There was plenty of space and very clean. Will def. stay there next time we visit! Well worth the money. We also loved the screened in pool area.
We went down to Florida for a family vacation and stayed in a florint pool home. It was a very nice house, I was worried because you always hear all these horror stories about showing up and it not being what you expected when we showed up it was more then I expected. The house we stayed in was easy to find and only 15 minutes from Disney World. After a long hot day at Disney it was very nice to get in the pool and cool off and relax, and after the kids went to bed to be able to relax in the hottub. I would love to stay in one of these homes again.
I would absolutely rent their houses again when I come back to Florida. I do think though that they need to put toilet paper in those houses and trash bags because they are getting money from us they can atleast supply that. the house we got was a 4bedroom 2bath in a gated community it was very beautiful and the florint pool home people were awesome if you need anything don't hesitatete call them they will take care of you right away. I would recommend this to all my friends and family.
We had the 3 bedroom home. The rooms were a very good size. The home seemed to be a little older. There were only 2 washcloths in the home, but the management agency had more delivered immediately. The pool was cold and not heated and needed to be cleaned. It was green on the bottom and had leaves & grass in it. There were no directions on how to turn on the pump in order to clean it. The neighbors were nosy, but the home had a security system which put my mind at ease. I would have liked to known in advance that we were responsible for bringing our own toilet paper and paper towels.
If you rent a home with the mind set that it is just like staying at a relatives house, then you will be very happy, but it you are one of those people that expects perfection for a $ then you are probably better off staying in a hotel. What I mean by this is that these homes are not perfect, they may be not cleaned perfectly, some of the repairs are done cheaply, some of the appliances may be old and tempermental. But for what you gain in privacy, size, quietness(or if you want to be loud), and value, it is impossible to beat !!!! For a $-$ per night budget I would never stay in a hotel in Orlando. Disney stinks and I thought the best part of this trip was a family breakfast out by the pool in the sun every morning; try that in a hotel. Please understand that these houses are privatly owned and each reviewers experience may be different... Our house was a four bed two bath unit and we were a family of three that visited for 12 nights. The important parts of cleanliness were great, Beds, bathrooms, kitchen; but yes, there were a few cobwebs in the corners and the carpet was stained. Safety was never a concern, but our house did not have an alarm system like one other reviewer wrote. We loved the beds and pillows, but everybody has thier own preference and opinion. There were a few extras that we did't expect but were very nice. Bicycles for use, movie DVDs, pool toys, board games, and books. Our house also had a grill, which they said that you must rent if you want, so we were not expecting one and were happy to have it.
This was the best place we've ever stayed in Orlando. We had a lovely 4 bedroom 2 bath home with a very large screened in patio and pool. It was a nice quiet neighborhood yet close enough to all the attactions. I will stay here again and will recommend them. It was more reasonable than a hotel and so much more room for our family of 4.
My fiance and I stayed at a 3-bedroom, 2-bath pool home in the heart of Kissimee over Thanksgiving to have our own 'holiday getaway.' Although it was just the two of us, we wanted to feel like we had a space of our own, with a fully stocked kitchen (for cooking our turkey dinner!) as well as a great pool/patio for enjoying the days and nights. The neighborhood was very cute - and you could tell it was safe (mainly other small, family homes). We did have to go to the Florint property office to pick up our house keys, but the process was very fast and they provided us with maps (including local grocery stores and area attractions). We only had to drive about 5 minutes to arrive at our vacation home. When we entered, we were impressed there is an alarm system for the home - it's definitely a safe location, but still made us feel good being in a new town. The master bedroom has a crib (which we didn't need - but is there in case you do!), an attached bathroom including double sink and an oversized tub. One bedroom is fitted with twin beds and decorated for kids, the other is a full-size bed for guests. Kitchen was spacious, dining room neat, and family room a good size. Cable is included. The screened-in pool and patio is very nice; however, we do recommend you get the 'heated' option if you want to actually swim in it, depending on the time of year you go. I'm sure Florint has many homes they place you in, so the one you stay in might not be ours exactly, but if it is anything similar (which we were told they are), you will really enjoy your trip.
