This is a good hotel very centrally located close to the Corso in Orvieto. The rooms are clean and pleasant and the staff efficient. The view across the rooftops from my room was the nicest thing about the hotel. The sound of church bells every 15 minutes throughout the night is one of the appealing aspects of Orvieto but bring earplugs if you want to sleep!
I did not find the staff particularly warm or welcoming compared to other hotels I stayed in on this trip around Tuscany. While billed as 4 star it lacks the feel of a 4 star hotel - the colours and decor are somewhat drab but at the right price it represents reasonable value for money.
Lovely hotel. Staff spoke English and were very helpful. Breakfast was very nice with good variety and the breakfast room was very spacious and comfortable. We were traveling by train and the hotel was in a very easy to access location by funicular and walking.
If you have trouble with steps, you should specifically ask for a room on a floor with the lift. This hotel would be pretty much perfect if they got better pillows.
This is a lovely hotel and located in the right place in the center of the town. We had a little balcony with a lovely view. The room was beautiful, spacious enough with a good size bathroom. We appreciated the English BBC television channel. The car park was very near. The breakfast was good.
I though the hotel was very good in a lovely hill top town in Unbria, Italy. The location (with narrow streets) was hard to find on our own, but proved to be ideal for walking tours around the picturest town. The staff was good and helpful.
only the room and view from the room
high charges for wifi
Facilities are lovely and the location in Orvieto is excellent. However, maintenance is lacking (our safe and hairdryer didn't work and there was a layer of dust on the furniture) and front desk service is not customer friendly. They will respond when asked, but offer no proactive help.
Front desk staff are "standoffish;" they will respond when asked, but offer no proactive help. In fact, they barely acknowledge a customer's presence when one walks right by them...many times daily.
Walking in the town and countryside. Visiting Duomo and other sites of interest
Breakfast was unimaginative
The location in the old Orvieto is excelent. There is so much to see just walking around the town, the narrow streets, the Duomo, the shops and restaurants are all interesting. The caves tour is a must also.
