The location was great and so was the price. The room was clean and comfortable and everything was as I excpected.
A skunk rummaging through big pile of garbage on the ground next to overflowing dumpsters. No one was at the front desk at checkout; I was about to leave my key and run then someone came out; was in a very big hurry.
Great extras, but we did not get to take advantage of: Breakfast, Happy Hour. Maybe next time.
Free breakfast, price
Not respect what it offers on the reservation
Ice machine on main floor wasn't working. Kind of noisy.
Really great accommodations at the Gold's Gym next door: great hot pool, swimming pool and exercise equipment!
Clean spacious room with nice bed and decor. Large well lit bathroom with exhaust fan.
The service was exceptional. Very friendly and helpful staff. Loved that the world gym was attached to the hotel. My children really enjoyed it too
The fridge electric cord was broke and our food spoiled. Microwave plate was broke when we arrived. The pool was not conveniently located or kid friendly.
The staff are wonderful, friendly and very accommodating.
They allow pets. Dogs left alone in the room next door were very annoying with their barking, but when we spoke to the hotel staff, they moved us to a floor without pets. Pets should not be left alone.
Rooms were clean, attention to detail for sundries left in the room.
Can't think of anything negative to say.
Great value for the money
As they are trying to sell Smoking room.
We dont have option to select to book Non-smoke or smoke room and the hotel is offering Smoke room for a non smoker
The easy customer service.
Rooms are nice, spacious, and clean
The front desk receptionist was extremely rude when I checked in even though I was the only one checking in at that time. Rather than a 'Welcome to Holiday Inn' or similar, the first words out of her mouth 'What kind of bed you want'. Ruin my stay.
I really liked the cleanness of the rooms and the access to the gym was great. They only down fall was the entrance way. It was a divided wall roomed area and then the next small area was the counter. It would definately make things more inviting if the area was opened up and would give customers an area to wait for check-in without feeling they are completely in another room.
It was a very good stood stay. The hotel is located right off of the highway and not far from major freeways. There are plenty of restaurants and few stores not too far from the hotel. A well needed Wal-mart is right down the road. There's a paid shuttle service with a very friendly driver who was very helpful. My room was clean. Even when I started my day late or left the room in the afternoon, I called the front desk and house cleaning still came & cleaned my room. Free access to a really decent gym & pool. I like the fact that this hotel offers free refreshments on Thursday for a few hours. The fresh bag of popcorn was great! I didn't try have breakfast at the hotel, but it did look good when I walked by. The only issue was that there was a convention and basketball team staying there the weekend I was there so it was a little noisy. After they left it was pretty quiet.
This hotel put my family right at home from the beginning to the end of our stay. The staff was courteous and went out of their way to get a mini-fridge in our room when we asked for it after hours. I used this hotel when my daughter graduated from Great Lakes in the Navy. They did everything possible to make our special weekend most comfortable. I would stay there again when visiting Chicago.
I enjoyed my stay and I was very glad the breakfast bar served hot food as well as cold. This was not in the description. This is unrelated to the Hotel...Do not let Alpha cab over-charge you if you take a cab from the Hotel.
We had a stay...Hotel maintenance walked into our room without knocking. Downgraded to worse room and we are platinum(50+ nights a year) HI members(supposed to get free upgrade). Had to move rooms second day and made wait 3 hours before moved after telling desk we needed to leave earlier and ther were not busy...The staff does not care about guests here....do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere!! I was a GM and could not believe the treatment...DO NOT STAY HERE!!
The hotel was fine. Finding it was a challenge because the directions we got from a helpful citizen did not include that highway 12 from the northwest 'becomes' Rand Road. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean. The continental breakfast was more than we expected; scrambled eggs and bacon, biscuits and grevy, plus the standard pastries, toast, etc. The only downside was there were 2 wedding parties there that night, one or both of which had people who decided to party into the wee hours until security finally cracked down on the noise.
