The only positive I can say about Sunbird is that the staff was nice enough to book us a room in another hotel.
It started out I sit at the front gate for 30+ minutes because I was not given the code. There is no way to check in without getting through that gate. There was a number posted to call security, called multiple times. No answer. When I finally made it to the front desk I was told I could not stay there due to only being 24. Apparently you have to be 25. I could understand denying a bunch of spring breakers but its just me and my wife on our anniversary. The lady at the front desk set us up with a room at the Majestic towers. Instead of having a 2 bedroom condo that wepaid for we had to settle with a studio suite that was cheaper and smaller yet we were not given any money back and when we got to majestic we had to pay another $195 "fee". I wil say the Majestic is a nice place to stay though, with many amenities. Nice spa/pool and beach access. Although we waited over 30 minutes for an elevator when we were checking out due to the maids deciding to clog them up the whole hour prior to check out. That was a widespread problem with many families this morning.
