Ioannidis Guesthouse

The Ioannidis Guesthouse has 7 rooms of two, three and four beds, with central heating, private bathroom and TV. They are all built in a traditional style, each one with its own unique personal character: for example the room with its special handmade blue ceiling, or the room with the old barrel (made on the spot in 1813!). There are also rooms with a fireplace, and in all of them you will enjoy, not only the warm atmosphere made by the stone, the wood and the handmade rugs, but also the great view of the village and Astraka Mountain. In the kitchen you can find all that you need to make yourself a cup of coffee! Papigo, located 62 km north of Ioannina, is perhaps the most traditional village in Zagoria. The two villages - the Small and Large Papigo - are built with the traditional architecture, with stone as the basic material and have been declared preserved by the Ministry of Culture. In Large Papigo you will find the guesthouse Ioannidis. The building operates as a hostel since 1980 under the requirements of the EOT. Built before 1813, and has been completely renovated internally with respect to its traditional character. Its privileged location offers wonderful views to both the settlement and to the impressive volume of Astraka: when the weather permits, there is nothing better than an aromatic coffee in the courtyard!
