The Louvre, Musée des Arts Décoratifs and closer still, the Bibliothèque Nationale make this hotel ideally located. For those who love sushi, Japanese restaurants abound in this local neighborhood. And its staff will go out of their way to give you any information/help you seek.
The staff extremely helpful, friendly and knew how to get to all the places in the city. The location is excellent. Walking distance to Museums, to shopping "Lafayette", to L´Opera etc. Also to small restaurant and food shops.
The location is marvelous. Facilities were basic, but all right and clean.
We were disturbed several times in the morning, in order to clean the room and to remind us that we had to leave te room before noon, even if it was still long before noon.
The room was really well cleaned & clean towels were changed daily. The location is just perfect; the hotel lies in the very strict centre of the city, very secure for during the night, and everything is close by. There is a 24H open supermarket on the corner of the street.
The furniture should be updated. The hotel is very chubby and everything inside is old. However, the cleaning ladies take good care of it. Having the location and the cleanliness stadards, if the they update the furniture, the hotel can easily earn 3-4 stars. The receptionists could be a little bit friendlier!!They don't call a taxi for you, leave the reception at 12o'clock or a bit later, aren't ready to help you with the luggage or engage in helping you somehow around the city. Few of them are nicer though.
The staff was very nice and helpful, but the best thing about this hotel is the excellent location. It is just a ten minute walk to the Louvre.
The stairway is narrow and steep leading floor to floor. It reminded me of a stairway you would find in Amsterdam.Their is no elevator. This is just the way the building is designed.
