The location was the best thing
It was a very small room, it got very hot at night and the fan barely cooled the room. It was very noisy in the alley when we tried to open the window. Small bathroom and shower. Spotty internet service
Staff was very helpful and the room was very clean.
Very small, but that is expected in Paris.
We booked this hotel 2 months in advance and when we arrived we were placed in the worst possible room available. It was on the ground floor, the only room on the ground floor strangely enough, with a window on the street and the opposite wall was shared with the breakfast room. It honestly looks like they just decided to clear out a cleaning facility or a kitchen and turn it into a room. The room was quite large, but you could hear everything going on inside and outside of the hotel. We requested a different room, but they told us they were fully booked and couldn't move us but would check the next day (fine). We were completely unable to sleep because the clients of the cafe in the street being loud until the early hours of the morning, then the staff started preparing and serving breakfast shortly thereafter. Also, people rolling their luggage down the sidewalk outside sounded like thunder in the room all night long. The next day we requested a new room and had to fight to get them to even consider moving us. The morning staff had no idea that the night staff had agreed to try and find us a new room. The replacement room was next to the elevator on the third floor and you could hear the lift going up and down constantly like it is in the room with you. I'm not sure I've heard an elevator that loud in my lifetime, perhaps it was run with a steam engine. You could hear the guest next door peeing like they were in your own bathroom. The room smelled like a sewer if you opened the window. On top of it all, it was less than half the size of the original soundstage we had downstairs (which we wouldn't have cared about if it wasn't for all the other negatives). Other negatives: The internet ran horribly when it ran at all, the breakfast cost 8 Euro per person (can get cheaper and better elsewhere), and the staff had zero sympathy about our issues even though we approached them nicely at first. Easily the worst hotel experience we've ever had. This might sound like w...
The staff was friendly but the room was nothing special. Poor comforter/sheet quality and you have to pay for the breakfast. It is close to the subway though, so that was nice. Our room had a window facing a common courtyard and we heard a man on his telephone every night; plus he smoked like a madman and it wafted into our room. Double blah. Other than that it was what we needed in order to pass out from the day's activities.
Cheap , well located , clean and tidy. Reception staff could not have been more friendly especially when they put us in a double as opposed to our requested twin room. We had room 508 right at the top and to be honest the room did smell as though the previous guest may have been smoking in the room , which was a small issue that seemed to go away when we opened the windows and we didn't make an issue of it as we only stayed one night
