Slow life Umbria is our Inn and also an expression which means to live life according to the rhythm of nature and to rediscover moments of serenity and harmony with nature and within ourselves.
The Inn started life as a late 17th century stone farmhouse. It has been fully restored according to plans developed by award winning Architects - Dario Sasso and Pietro Abbruzzese (SLU was chosen and exhibited at the Triennale of Milan as one of the best projects for architects under 40 in 2006).
Slow life Umbria is nestled in the heart of the Umbrian countryside and only a short drive from Perugia. It is surrounded by forests, olive groves and the sounds of nature under emmense blue skies and gentle sunshine. We are ideally situated in a location that offers easy access to art, history and nature in all directions. We’re also close to major shopping outlets, golf, watersports, hiking and much more (see Activities & Events). Alternately, enjoy the serenity and comforts of our Inn by the poolside and soak up the sounds of nature.
