I Love it and i recommend this to The world,The front desk was very respectful upon our arrival.the prices for The.bar.was resonable
I would stay here again.... It's a little out of the way... but when we checked in there was a group of boys in for a basketball something or other... There was a lot of confunsion at the desk with the group... but the staff was on their toes...
The hotel was clean, rooms were a nice size. Very short walk to the stadium.
The hotel was situated on the skirts of the city. Our room looked right into phillies stadium, and if you had a room on the other side, a beautiful view of the city. A quick and inexpensive can ride took you right into the main part of town. The room was clean and they even let us check out an hour later...great stay. Definitely would recommend it!
This hotel is just OK. It's been renovated but that doesn't fix bad service. If you're going to a sporting event nearby it's great but for anything else you really, really need a car. I booked it as a top-secret hotel. I, of course, didn't get a king or queen but a double, because they were 'sold out' of those rooms, which I don't believe. This hotel is called an airport hotel yet they have no shuttle from the airport.
I Got what I expected For a 3 Star...Clean, You can walk the room barefoot... Only 2 minor issues i have with it. 1.) the Room TVs need updating and need more then 20 channels. 2.) Unless you need to be in that particular area,it's pretty isolated.
I highly reccommend this hotel. It's location near Citizen's BallPark was exciting. Although undergoing some renovation, this hotel was very accomodating. I would recommend an inside pool/whirlpool which would further compliment the already positive activities the hotel provides. I was generally well pleased with what I recieved from the price to the service. Could not have done better. I enjoyed my stay.
The motel is located between the airport and downtown and the room was good value for the location.
The hotel would have been perfect if I had come to Philly for a game. Despite that, the price was so reasonable, we extended our stay by three additional days. The room did show some wear and tear and when I first checked in, the condition of the quilts convinced me that hotels really do only change the sheets. However, the housekeeper for our floor immediately washed my comforter when I raised my concern. (Despite being on her way to lunch.) There were some issues with the key machine not working (we were instructed to have housekeeping let us in) but the front desk staff was so gracious and apologetic, I was willing to overlook this minor inconvenience. And though the hotel restaurant (the Stadium Bar) wasn't open for one of the nights we stayed, the one meal I had there consisted of a pretty good cheesesteak and drink for under $15.
We checked in late got exceptional service. It was good to see a curent remodel project going on. The result will be a very modern look. The beds and pillows were labeled firm or soft, the sheets were like the west in or like a doubletree. But it was a holiday inn. Our room was new and very clean. Will stay again especially since in 10 minutes up broad you are downtown. The breakfast buffet looked like your typical fare not my taste so we went out. Great value.
We were there in the February 2010 blizzard. Hotel staff were great! Wish there was a restaurant -- instead we had to shovel out and find one nearby. Comfortable, nice room. Wish we had come better prepared for a blizzard. Only stayed one night--a little far from the city but it was okay.
Great place to stay if you are going to see concert or ball game.
i am not a full time traveler. considering a booked this last minute, it wasn't a bad experience. the hotel is not center city philly quality, it obviously seen its use but it was clean for a blue collar guy like myself. with the exception of cloggged toilet on the last day but a very quick maintenance response. i grew up in south philly so the location was great. i do think that the room was about $50-$70 overpriced. there were no sports games going on in the city that weekend. i'd recommend to people but most 'professional' business travelers would be better off in center city
One of the worst hotels I have stayed at in a long time. However, the staff did their best to make things right. The hotel is under construction so hopefully when the renovations are complete the amenities will improve.
The place was kinda dirty. No microwaves in room So i had to heat my leftovers in a filthy communal microwave that looks like its never been cleaned and is probably the only microwave on property. Someone spat inside elevator on the door and it stayed there for 2 days!
Rude Staff...Management just as bad! NO FRIDGE in room...didn't even try to accommandate...waste of money...what 3star hotel have no fridge in certain rooms...should be 1star...Horrible Stay and Holiday! thanx for ruining our visit! If you stay at 'Holiday' inn you can say goodbye to your Holiday!!!!!
Inept hotel staff fored us to wait in lobby 45 mins before correcting THEIR mistake and allowing us to check-in. Paid $ night for room w/o refrig. Same dump, new paint! Only positive note is excellent food at Benny's!
I would like to fairly warn anyone wanting to stay at this establishment. DONT.... we were there for only a one night stay. It was by far the worst one night of my life. Im making it my life long goal to deter as many potential victims as possible from patronizing these idiots. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else. Staff, managers and corporate are unbelieveably unhelpful and rude. They can keep the coupon vouchers, i am never staing at a holiday in again after this experience. They care only about your money and not at all about your stay. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, totally incompetent. what a joke.......
the hotel is what it is, it is situated next to all of the Philadelphia sports teams stadiums. If you are going to the game the place is perfect, no driving-drink and go to your room to sleep. Bathroom is small, place is not the cleanest, I have walked into my room after check-in to find housekeeping person watching TV in the room. The people working at the hotel are nice. Forgot to bring a bottle opener, they would not bring one to me (what hotel does not have a bottle opener for their guests?) but did say I can bring my bottles to the bar and they would open it for me. If going to a sporting event in Philadelphia this hotel is great, if looking for a nice place to stay, this is not it.
Location great for a game but hotel bed was awful, walls are paper thin, would not stay there again
You can't beat the convenience to the sporting venues. We booked our room so we wouldn't have to drive home after a concert. It was great to be able to shower and change between the tailgate and the concert - especially since it was 90 degrees / 100% humidity outside. However, we when returned to the room after the concert, it was nearly impossible to sleep - the air conditioner would kick completely off after cooling the room to the set temperature. When it would kick back on, it was very loud. Figuring it kicked on and off about every 10 minutes, I figure I maybe got a good hours-worth of sleep the entire night. It was a bit frustrating. Even so, I'd stay there again for a summer concert - can't beat having the ability to shower and not having to fight traffic after the event.
If you're only going to a game, stay here. If you're planning on checking out the sites of Philly, don't stay here. The bed was horribly uncomfortable - flat and hard as a rock. The entire decor - from the bedding to the carpet - was totally dated. The hotel served it's purpose for us though - sleep (albeit restless), shower, and right next to the ballpark.
There is a certain quality of comfort that you come to expect from a Holiday Inn. Do not expect it here. The hotel was in it's first state of disrepair. There were only 2 elevators, one was broken the whole weekend, and the other was broken half of the weekend, leaving guests to use the service elevator or the stairs, which were not easily located. The food left something to be desired, and the prices did little to recommend the food there anyhow. The hotel was very loud at night. I was frequently woken up at 2 in the morning by people in the hall. The 'buisiness center' as they call it consisted of 2 computers, including one that was only a screen and a keyboard (no tower), and a printer that was so old, I expected it to blow up when turned on. There was no paper in the printer and the ink cartridge had been taken out. When asked to replace paper and the ink cartridge, the staff took over an hour to replace it. I finally called a cab and left. When I left an hour and a half after asking them to replace the paper and ink, so I could print my boarding pass for my flight, they had still not replaced it. The room was a comfortable size and the only thing I can complain about there is the fact the bed felt like sleeping on a concrete slab. I woke stiff and sore every morning and would have had better luck sleeping in the bath tub. When I checked out, they tried to charge me $300 for my stay, when I had already paid through the travel website. I highly recommend nevery staying here.
When I first arrived, I thought it was great. Good location to the Sports complex, which is why I was there, andthe lobby was beautiful. The clerk at the desk was less than friendly, but I was hoping it was just becasue it was dinner time and she wanted to leave. I got to my room and found it wanting. The cover for the airconditioning unit was half off, the shower floor required me to purchase shower shoes and the dust on the TV showed me what the housekeeping staff thought of their jobs. Room service: The food was great, but it usually took over an hour to get to my room when they told me 30 minutes and my trays sat outside my room until I left. Even after the Maid Service had cleaned the room, the trays with what was left of my breakfast still sat. They sat from Tuesday to Thursday. I stayed because I did not rent a car and needed to be close to where I was going.
This hotel is conveniently located to the Ballpark. After that buyer beware. The beds are not comfortable. No hot water in the bathroom. Mold in the shower. No drain plug in the sink. It is run down and not being maintenanced right.
very poor internet connection. when I called front desk, I was told ''noone has complained, wait and try later''. Next motning when I was waiting for shuttle, other people told me they called and got same answer.
1st room smelled and had a non-working toilet. 2nd room smelled not as bad and I fixed the sink drain plug. Coffee cups and pot visibly filthy. WiFi not available as reported. Front Desk and GM unresponsive; wouldn't return calls or returned them intentionally to the wrong #. Assured a fix and coffee pot and WiFi still broken. No more return calls from mgmt.
If your looking for a location close to the stadiums and/or Penn's Landing, then this is a good choice for you. However, if it's good service that you prefer, then stay away! We waited forever to check in as the front desk had only one staff member who was taking calls as well as attempting to check people in. Once we finally got to our room, our keys weren't activated properly and the front desk was not pleasant about it. Overall the rooms were clean and adequate, but the beds were as hard as rocks.
went to this holiday about 3 times in last year . its so close to sports events is great you save on parking also, is great for the guys going to a sporting events but i think my wife would have problems with the mold in bathroom the running toilet .
