Hotel was clean and comfortable. Restaurant was good. Pool nice. Enjoyed rooftop bar. Staff helpful.
Noisy in evening. Not sure if it was from parking lot or bar area.
The free snacks were great, the bar/restaurant was very welcoming with some great live music and excellent drinks. The staff were very friendly. The building itself was very cool and the pool area was almost enticing enough for me to buy a swimsuit.
Paid about $118/nt with all taxes and resort fee. Good value compared to others in area. Pool was decent. A bit rough around the edges. Not a 4 star property as indicated. Prob a 3 star. Free breakfast and snacks! I'd stay again ... $8 Uber to heart of downtown and convention center. Best burrito I've eaten.
Bit dirty. Worn. Strange layout.
We liked the retro style, location was diffficult,,no close restaurants though.
The front desk clerks were understaffed. There was always a long line, weather checking in, out, or asking a question. There was no acknowledgement that we existed..not even a 'we will be right with you would have helped.' If the phone rang, that took precedent over the guest...again, waiting until they were taken care of. the extra 20 dollar charge was a surprise...for wi-fi & snacks..not until I questioned the bill, was I told about that charge.. next time I decide to be retro,, i will watch 'nick at night.'
The location is great and close to many things to do downtown.
Nickel and dined for everything and I paid a resort fee but didn't know why... I have felt more welcome at a motel 6.
Pool in the courtyard was the main attraction. The restaurant inside the hotel made eating anywhere else unnecessary. Really good food.
My issue was the room lighting. It was to dim, especially in the bathroom. I found it very hard to see to shave. Also the faucets which are meant to save water (a good thing) provided thin high pressure streams that would hit the sink and splash everywhere.
Fun hotel to be at, the amenities were great, it's a very unique hotel. The pool area was beautiful as was the deck.
I had an unexpected charge at check out, they said it was because I purchased the hotel through a third party. It was probably in the fine print when I reserved the hotel through kayak, but I would like to have the total expenses shown at the outset.
Friendly staff , cool design
Room smelled a little smokey
Like living in cLifornia in 1954. Gorgeous pool and roof deck--yummy food (service needs help) but all in all a scrumptious experience!
Old decor some renovations in progress Additional hotel service charges added at checkout Smell from kitchen permeated the room Vibration noise in room during entire stay No spa facilities other than small heated pool
The entire staff was wonderful. Bravo to the staff and to all who make this hotel work!
i will not go through Kayak again. You guys gouged me by tacking on another $80.00 at the end, what a ripoff!!!
What a cool place. I want to design my home like the lobby. And thank you for having the book "teachings of Buddha" I leared a lot.
Nothing. Every thing was perfect
Wine at happy hour, snacks, hot tub and pool, ease of using Mexican Restaurant off lobby!!
Restaurant, social activities, decor, entertainment, location, Complimentary sodas & snacks, pet policy.
$4 bottle of water in the room.
The bar was good. Bartenders were really nice and made good drinks. The snacks were a plus but I didn't like having to bother the staff for them .
Weird music playing. No room for toiletries in bathroom. The walls were not well painted.( sloppy job). The web site boasted early check in but when we arrived we were told no check in until 3. My husband is disabled so this was inconvenience. There was only book Buddha but no Holy Bible. Dirty clothing was in the drawers. There was loud street noise due to delivery trucks at 6:30am.
Windows covering were not adequate for the rooms. People in the pool could look into our window. Lighting was inadequate. The clientele was for young people only.
