Circa 1872. There are 17 holly trees surround this aptly named bed & breakfast, built by Robert C. Hill, the co-founder of the First National Bank of Port Townsend. The cozy, romantic rooms are decorated with florals and lace. Billie's Room affords a view of Admiralty Inlet and Mt. Baker, while Lizette's Room offers Victorian decor and a view of the garden. The Skyview Room includes a wonderful skylight. The spacious Colonel's Room features a picture window with water and mountain views, and the Morning Glory Room is a cozy retreat with lace-trimmed quilts. Expansive breakfasts are served in the dining room, and coffee and tea are always available. The inn's gardens are surrounded by a picket fence and nearly 88 rose bushes. A botanic wonder, the 100+ year old upside down Camperdown Elm & Mullberry trees. A spacious back patio makes for a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. Afternoon teas, cookies & pastries as well as wine and cheese add to ambience of the setting sun and scenic views. For those cool evenings there is a big Fire Pit.
