The bed was really comfy but the pool looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. We were also woken up by house keeping at 9am even though check out wasn't until 11am and if you are a light sleeper the planes and noise of the trains might keep you up too.
The hotel was very nice. A real bargain. I would stay there again.
This hotel is in a convenient location for my travels; is quiet and competently run. Nothing outstanding and nothing detracting. The staff are courteous and competent; moved me to a room I preferred with no trouble.
We enjoyed our stay. Bed was very comfy!! The pool and hot tub were open 24 hours and there was free breakfast although we overslept and missed it!
The beds were very firm, whereas I like a more plush mattress. Otherwise the hotel was wonderful for the price. Very close to the airport and the interstates. Staff was friendly, but we didn't have any problems or needs so we didn't interact too much. The pool is indoor and open 24/7 which is very nice!
Very clean and well maintained rooms! Great staff and service personal!
Downsides: Smells like an older hotel that used to allow smoking. I chose to air out the room when I got in. I recommend getting a room on the east side of the building along 102nd street (a dead-end street with no traffic). I was on the west side and the hotel/restaurant next door had gardeners using leaf blowers and street sweepers from 9:00pm-10:45pm on Friday night. The noise was deafening! I could also hear the freeway and airport.
Our initial reaction was at the reception desk where young people with questionable plans were checking in. They did not interfere with us, however. The rest of the customers were normal!
Good breakfast. Room was clean and keep up. Location is good.
Had a great week staying here. I really enjoyed the breakfast.
The hotel was clean, quiet and easy access from the Portland airport. I would definitely stay here again.
I don't want to be too hard on the on-site Hotel staff, but the service wasn't helpful at all. I left my credit card at the airport, so I didn't have a credit card with the $50.00 dollars requested for deposit at the front desk, I offered cash and a personal check but the answer was NO! Furthermore, the manager wasn't there, so not a single person there was able to make an informed decision for the benefit of the costumer. After 6 hours of being on a plain I was expecting some rest but it didn't happen because the front desk didn't allow me to have a room until the deposit was made. Finally, my husband paid with his credit card from home, which make me feel very unwelcome at the hotel.
One of the best complimentary breakfasts I have ever had at a hotel! Great price, great staff, and great room too! Not the best part of town to be in safety wise and right near the train tracks which means you will hear trains night and day. When I visited there last my side window of my car had a bullet in it, kind of scary. If not for my probably 1 in 100,000 experience I would visit again in a heartbeat. I saved money by picking this hotel, but for the price of a $400 window, just think of what kind of hotel room that can buy.
We booked this hotel at the last minute without many expectations. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff very helpful. This is a great place to stop on your way through town. It is easy to travel both to the coast and destinations like Mount St. Helen's from this location.
Everything about this hotel was great - good and cheap. The pool was very nice and I wasn't really disapointed about anything!!
This hotel wasn't nearly as convenient to the airport as we hoped it would be. The Hampton Inn is much better located. The breakfast area was completely blocked off when not serving breakfast, so you can't even get a cup of hot water for tea or sit at the table to wait for someone. We called ahead to say that our flight in was being redirected and we wouldn't get there until 9am. The clerk who answered the phone said she'd make a note on our reservation, and that it would be fine. But she didn't. And the clerk who was there when we arrived wasn't skilled at fixing the situation. It took us about an hour before they gave us a room (after having been involuntarily up all night in an airport fiasco). There was only one person working the desk, so everyone who wanted to check out or do anything else during that one hour also just had to stand around and stare until it became their turn. The bottom sheets did not fit the beds, and the overall sleep experience was frustrating. The airport shuttle worked fine, but do remember to sign up in advance.
Decent hotel with nice ammenities off a very busy thoroughfare, Tricky to get to off the freeway. Careful where you venture if after dark.
When we checked in at midnight, they didn't have our reservation, then found it after much todo. We were given key cards and told what room to go to. Much to my dismay, when I opened the door, someone was already in the room! A very distraught older woman came out as I tried to explain I wasn't an intruder. \n\nThe beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. Everything else was fine.
