The looks of the rooms.
No free WiFi or breakfast
Swimming pool was closed and hotel was understaffed.
Very clean hotel. Up to date decor. Fair size parking lot.
Batroom towels were dirty when we checked in. The second day towels had lipstick stains on one of them. They need to rethink their laundry service.
Limited shuttle service
Quickest check-in ever. Why can't it always be this easy?
Hot tub and large room size
Too noise didn't know it was right At the airport left after one night. towell had bloody stain on it not a good option for price
Friendly staff, huge room (then realized it was wheelchair accessible!), clean, quiet (amazing next door to jet port)- breakfast omelet was delicious, cheerful service.
No blow dryer in bathroom.
The breakfast staff was very nice and helpful.
The room was small and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Wallpaper was coming off the walls and the floor was not very clean.
Breakfast buffet for about ten dollars in the lobby Saturday morning
It was a updated hotel, clean & interesting. The price was very good. It was a couple of minutes from the airport.
Friendly staff, very helpful.
Proximity to the airport
Lack of restaurants or shops within walking distance.
Very accommodating, friendly staff, excellent location
Location was terrible for portland. We were checked into a room that was already occupied. What kind of security is that.
We selected a 3 star for comfort and a wide cable tv selection. We stopped early so we could watch NHL playoff game. No game was available yet HI Express had games the previous 2 nights in Carolinas!!!Very unimpressed!!!
Location was good
No continental breakfast and couldn't leave car at hotel like we thought we were going to be able to.
Nice hotel. Right next to airport. Would have preferred to be downtown, but there is no area distinction to select that.
The staff was super helpful and friendly.
The matteress was EXTREMLY uncomfortable.Breakfast is expensive for the quality and there was a lack of Gluten Free/not cross contaminated options. When we stayed at the Hilton Garden in Freeport GF options and the mattress was comfortable.
The shuttle that is supposed to drop off/pick up downtown never showed (even after we confirmed with the hotel). They assured us it was there on time. After waiting for 45mins, we took a cab. Cab driver said this happens all the time. (hotel paid for cab)
Had to move after the first night because of a loud noise coming from the roof. Maybe a broken fan belt from an air handling unit or something.
clean and the staff was very friendly.
thought there were signs for vending machines, they have been removed. This is very inconvenient for guests looking for water, soda, or a snack.
The bed was extremely comfortable.
Literally right at the airport. Construction going on. Parking sparse. Had to park in back, but walk around to front to get inside every time...
room smelled like smoke. Breakfast looked bad for $11.95 buffet. I was not impressed especially paying top price.
Fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee/maker.
I found a prescription pill in plain sight near the cushion of the easy chair. I googled it to find it was for high cholesterol and had some dangerous side effects. It was right at eye level for a toddler who would would probably put it in its mouth.
Good central location
The front desk person I checked in with was not very welcoming.
Spacious room, fridge
Out of the way unless you were air traveller
Convenient location - close to the highway
The room was large enough, but it smelled of stale smoke; the mattress was very uncomfortable and the ventilation system was incredibly noisy. Decor was lacking, bathrooms need an upgrade. The lobby was very unattractive.
They put us in the room where there was construction work directly outside the window. It was extremely noisy from 8 am on every morning we stayed in Hilton Garden Inn. We asked to change to a quieter room, and they could not do anything about it.
yes bed was terrible no customer service from staff--returning phone calls, correcting problems
The free shuttle downtown.
The location and the fact that it was the same cost per night as some hotels downtown.
Breakfast was great.
The rooms smelled like cigarette smoke. The bed was lumpy. Guest on the second floor was jumping all night.
The room was clean, AC was already turned on.
The staff seemed disinterestd in their jobs, more important for the desk staff to flirt with each other rahter than paying attention to the customers at the desk. When the staff did pay attention to the customer, it was percieved as a hardship.
I left my suitcase in the room.On 6/15 at 430PM I first spoke to Alicia that informed me it was not in lost in found. She said she could transfer me to housekeeping. After asking her to check she looked and said it was not thehe. I called again the next
clean and pretty standard
when you pay these kind of prices the least you might expect is to have breakfast included. The breakfast offered in the lobby was an extra $12 per person. That added close to $30 to the price of the room and at that price it isn't much of a deal.
The hotel was lovely and clean and surrounded by beautiful flowers. We wereonly there overnight to catch an early morning plane but the wake up call was right on time and the shuttle was waiting for us when we got down to the fron door at 4:30 a.m. I consider that excellent service. We also had dinner there and the food and service were excellent.
Hotel was clean check was quick and food service to very good.
This is one of the best hotels in the Portland area. Having stayed at many over the past few years, The Hilton Garden was accomodating, staff was friendly (even having to work on Christmas Eve), free internet at the business center, and a very comfortable room.
The rooms were filled with smoke, not cleaned, not what we booked, desk personnel have an attitude that stinks
Discreet place for couples to escape in private. Needs more choices for nightime fun. Would have liked our friends have adjoing rooms together and to have fun with each other.
